I like the sound, when I was an a priori negative Ovation
we recognize the grain ovation but not the side with foil and finally a bit of nasty electro

OVERALL OPINION

I bought secondhand by chance because the price was attractive, and told me that if I did not like, I could always sell it ...
And finally I find it very fun to play and listen, I care!

With the Ovation custom stroll Ref. 1112 since 1975 I would like especially to point out that this reference is not acoustic electric, acoustic only. I checked the site in their section Ovation history confirms that if it were needed. It is this feature that made me make this choice because in comparison with the time, I found the sound much more defined and crystalline as the equivalent model with the preamp even played acoustic. I will not dwell on the sound of electro Ovations at the time, to my ears at least ugly (cardboard and without relief) even on high-end models like the custom legend. This is a small development and of course my simple opinion.
I use it for more than 30 years, but plays little seen my preference for solid body electric. I will make an overall score of 6 for his irreproachable in time and the handle end and close does not reject the electric guitar. Of course I will not repeat this choice today since it is no longer manufactured for ages and found much better on the market (we think maybe the same brand).

UTILIZATION

Handle very pleasant for a given electric guitar finesse and wide.
Not so comfortable cutaway to the 14th box after you remember.
Ergonomics seems pretty good at play sitting, standing, I do not.
The sound is good and well balanced accompaniments folk and pop.
Regrettably a martin but it does equalize.
