I bought this amplifier at a closing down musical instrument store for € 150,00 on sale (retailprice € 390,00). Not being familiar with the Carlsbro brand I was pleasantly surprised trying the amplifier at home. Not only has it a nice classic look but it sounds far beyond my expectation. It has a pleasant clear and neutral sound. He does well with my Ibanez AF55-TF Jazz guitar, my ES-335 style, my telecaster and stratocaster style guitars as well as my electro-acoustic travel guitar and LP-style guitar. In a full month of usage it has become my favorite amp!

I use this amplifier for jazz and blues. You can either plug the guitar right in or use it with a microphone. If you plug it right in with a cable you can use a microphone for singing.

Given the power and maximum volume I would say the amp is suitable for practicing, rehearsing with a band and small live settings. I haven't found any cons of this amp all I can say is it's a shame Carlsbro doesn't have a bigger name recognition.

UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration, the handling is extremely simple ...
The sound is crystal clear and remarkably neutral.

SOUNDS

With an Ovation Celebrity, the sound is perfect. Not need too many effects, sound "typical" spring ovation impeccable ...
For the voice I have not done the tests and I complete in a while ...

Without hesitation the best value for money in this game after testing articles marshall, behringer, and all the amps around € 400 equivalent, there's no picture!

Amp really ddi acoustic guitar.
2 inputs, connectivity and basic but sufficient rglages, no frills.
In Eq, low / medium for semi-paramtrique/aigu between guitar.
For the 2nd between (choose between hi-jack or XLR low z), only bass / treble, but it's enough.
Just a rverb spring, anecdotally, that can be nice s'avrer is unusable, ca dpend place and rglages. Any y 'insert derrire fawn. Also a small company of dclenchement pedals, but I have not tried.

SOUNDS

To play with my semi-hollow I takamine Squizz much of the medium around 800Hz, I ride the highs, and I get sound extremely clear: to intimate the game is the top. But you can really sculpt the sound with the medium parameter. As for bass, there is Reserved, no problemo.

OVERALL OPINION

This is not a true 85 Watts, I think it is better to buy a smaller power amp and get a better sound reproduction.
I think of the Marshall AS50D (formerly AS50R) which for a relatively reasonable prices (from memory, similar to Carlsbro) is much intressant, both in the quality of manufacturing, quality and sound tural power.
