Newcomers HEDD Audio introduce their new range of monitors with a design that surely does look familiar.

HEDD (for Heinz ElectroDynamic Designs) has recently been launched by physicist and music enthusiast Klaus Heinz, founder and long term head of R&D
at ADAM Audio. At the NAMM, the company enters the professional audio market with three innovative studio monitor models, the Type 05, Type 07, and Type 30, all being part of HEDD’s Series ONE.

Each of these three models features new materials, soft black modern unibody cabinets, the latest generation of ICE power amplifiers, and a sophisticated Air Motion tweeter design (HEDD AMT). The combination of these elements is said to result in a very precise and effortless signal reproduction.

HEDD has also developed a modular input card system called the HEDD Bridge, adding optional Audio-over-IP (Dante & Ravenna networks), AES3, USB2, or Wireless cards to the speakers, making HEDD studio monitors the first loudspeakers to combine analogue monitoring with the ability to understand audio-related protocols over ethernet – hence inaugurating a new era of digital connectivity, not just in recording and mastering studios but also in more complex, installation-based audio environments.
