I chose JBL because I had heard the famous 4312 A friend and immediately I liked the color ... Although I have not found it in 4328P, JBL is still for me the benchmark response especially in the low end.
Their connections AES / EBU is for me the best cabling solution.
We handle projects in all musical styles and the main advantage was that I was looking for versatility - this is what we found with these speakers.

SOUNDS

For me no monitoring system is "neutral" (that vourait say tasteless)
I would say they are well balanced and respond in a linear fashion across the spectrum, are not aggressive treble, mids are clear, low mids and bass are fantastic.
Note that depending on the configuration, the vent at the rear speakers can be a positioning problem, but thanks to the LSR, we can fix that easily
The momentum is huge, even if it takes a certain amount of work for the boomers move, we practice often listen at low volume or increasing volume and at this level they behave quite well

OVERALL OPINION

That makes 4 years they are in service with us and of course we have other reference monitors, but they have become a means to control MUST studio.

The report quality price seems pretty good to find something similar on other brands, it is necessary to double ...

Only downside if there is one: the event at the back ... I prefer that of KRK, the front we expect anyway to add to our studio setup - without separate ourselves from JBL KRK these plays will be dedicated to making his instruments, while JBL remain our reference mix

The JBL Pro LSR 4328p are a great set of studio monitors that are affordable enough for you to have at home and use. If you spend enough time understand them you will get great quality like your song was mixed in a top notch studio. The response on this monitors is very flat, especially the low end of it is flat and not over powering. The sound is very accurate and mostly anywhere I put the song into and listen to it, it will sound the same way it did when I was mixing it in the JBL Pro LSR 4338p’s. It did take some time for me to get to understand them, which is normal. Everyone should take some time to really get to understand their monitors and how far they can push certain sounds and frequencies without over doing it. Its basically just an overall process of understand how your monitors will sound stacked up against other systems with the same song.

The sound is great for mixing and mastering. I have even just used them to listen to music on you tube before and they still push out great quality of you tube horrible compression that they put on there songs and videos.


OVERALL OPINION

Overall, JBL has put out a great set of monitors that you can still purchase new in some stores and you can grab them used online from a number of different places. I have been using these off and on for about the last year or so just depending on what type of music im listening to or mixing down. Using these at home has really helped me take my music to another level. With so many different monitor options on the market today its hard to find the right one that will work. These will work for you, thanks to JBL

I found these used on craigslist for such a deal, that i had planned on selling them for a profit. After setting them up in the studio, I realized that they weren't going anywhere.

I was intruiged by the feature set, but I was most interested in the RMC (room mode correction). Having said that, I was so impressed with how they sounded in my room, that I never bothered to use it!

I also love the I/O options on the back, including USB!

SOUNDS

I use them for both tracking / mixing/ mastering in the studio, but also for my hifi turntable, and often with my laptop. They are truly great sounding speakers. I've upgraded from Event 20/20p's, and I still have yamaha ns10's in the current rig.

The JBL's are much more detailed and defined than the NS10's. They feel like they have a flat response in my treated room, but I know that they have boost to the lows (and highs).

They have great dynamics, and they sound equally detailed at both low and high volumes.

OVERALL OPINION

JBL really thought of the perfect monitor with the updated LSR series. They got it to sound right, then packed it with features. cat5 to daisy chain multiple monitors, RMC, volume buttons, as well as MY FAVORITE FEATURE.......a front facing power button. I can't believe it took so long for someone to do that!

I possd a pair of Tannoy amplifier which j'tait trs happy to see anything but the class is. .... Too bad the manual is in English! I'm waiting on the import of bass LSR4312P which I think is what Systm complte set for suround kg was dear to so why not fill LSR 26P with 43 you have to ask in any case I do not regret my purchase !!!!!!

OVERALL OPINION

One week of happiness, the complete package Systm with the microphone and the software configuration is a real hardware inovation.Ce worth the price trs good design and good finish, after a working week of 'I am MUCH more than sastisfait it does not tire the ear with no problem so I remake the same choice

Well, I have just received, is not so j'diterai with a little more practice.

I bought these speakers solely on the basis of test Denfert my friend. I confess I do not have cost before you buy (ineligible, everything). But in truth, I'm not.

SOUNDS

Is to say, it is still the BIG SCRAPED: no holes, low farm without being intrusive, a fever that is tired but super analytical, a medium Fidler. These speakers have the same sound that works to stop or mute mean really all dtails.

Rsolument a speaker that plays in the MODELS CATEGORY more expensive and prestigious.

OVERALL OPINION

Most:
- Incredible connection (SPDIF, EAS / EBU, XLR, jack) and between select by tlcommande
- Reasonable size compltement
- Adequate power even for a largely middle cabin (35m)
- Systm the RMC calibration with automatic microphone supplied
- The possibility to store presets correction in the forums, nice for those who move often in a limited number of places mix
- Standby mode that consumes anything and therefore does not heat
- Ergonomics, with a damn good tlcommande and all front
- Sound (see above).

The -:
- These are speakers who forgive little mix: I Discoveries of "boxes" on incredible kicks from Dre, and some of my REFERENCE graves are (not all, thankfully). At the same time, it's not really a inconvnient ...
- RMC Calibration sometimes a little nag, it is good to remove it from time to time have a history of other costs. I should probably get used (so far I was using passive stereo speakers trs high-end with two 12 "per speaker, so normal that I miss sometimes down a bit) and I rode the bowls.
- The "Sun" (function to lower the volume when Madame shouts through the door that it's time to question for a Champion) is not adjustable in amplitude. Well, OK, it's a dtail, but we are so impressed with the rest of it is a bit of that oversight.
Conclusion: At the time o the market for this type of Coutes two active voice is dominated by Genelec, Dynaudio and Adam, I wanted to bet on JBL, who was always on the pch marketing in Europe of this type of product. Sure bet to me. I am happy to offer a cost (and APRO) any AFien dsireux of cost to and motivated to dplacer up with me (Grasse, 06).

What technical features motivated my choice? First off, the RMC feature. It is a built in room correction program that generates a tone from the speakers which is then picked up by the included microphone. The information gathered by the mic is then applied to the speakers to figure out what frequencies are enhanced or lost in your room. The speakers adjust their frequency response in order to simulate having a acoustically treated room. The end product is pretty darn sweet. I imagine if I actually had my home studio acoustically treated, it would probably sound better. But until I do that, these monitors will do just fine. Oh yeah, you get a nice (large, not mini) remote to control the speakers individually too (it reacts to the speaker you are pointing at, pretty neat). I am currently using these to mix down a very large (25 to 60 tracks per song) album that I recorded professionally at Collapseable Studios in West Asheville, NC. These are powered speakers so no amp necessary. My setup includes a Macbook (2.2ghz, 4gb Ram, 120 gb HD) with Logic 8 (and a ton of plugins) with a Presonus Firepod/Firebox and various rack gear. For awhile I was using Wharfedale Diamonds but realized I needed something much stronger. These fit that bill perfectly.

SOUNDS

Before using the RMC feature, I felt they were a little bass heavy (you won't need a sub to mix with these, although it couldn't hurt). After I used the RMC they were very flat. I was really surprised how wonderfully neutral they are. The stereo image is great. They are a huge improvement over the Diamonds. The sound is very crisp and clean from the super highs to the deep booming lows. The dynamics are stunning. I have used very little compression on my tracks thus far. Some of my songs have breakdowns that get fairly quit. I could barely get sound out of the Diamonds during these parts but the JBL's are present and strong all around. Great Monitors!

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using these monitors for about 3 weeks. What I love most is the high quality sound and super flat frequency response. What do I not like? So far, nothing, they have pleased me in every facet. We did a lot of mixing in the Pro Studio on some nice Adams I believe. They sounded great but I found that the sound we got on those speakers didn't translate to any other sound sources. The songs always sounded muddy and low on my home stereo, car stereo and my friends' stereos. I also used those wharfedales but they are no match for the adams or the JBL's. They pretty much had no bass response which, by themselves made it hard to mix anything. The JBL's go for around $1450 to $1600. I actually got mine off ebay used for $800 which was a super deal as they are in excellent condition. For either price though, you will get your money's worth. I would definitely buy these again, even if I had to pay full price.

I went for these monitors because they have quite a flat response with plenty of bass due to the 8 inch woofers, and because of the great feature of the room tuning. I use them as my main monitors in my studio, which is a Sonar based DAW. They are active, so they don't require an amp.

SOUNDS

I found the frequency response to be very neutral in the mids and highs. The bass end gets tailored to your room with the calibration system it has. The imaging is great assuming you have a room treated for minimizing reflections. The entire spectrum is smooth, and a lot less fatiguing than other monitors i've tried. The dynamics do seem to be fine, the transients are well represented. They really do sound great.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had this pair of monitors for about 9 months. I love the room tuning feature, as I do a fair amount of on location recording, so it's nice to be able to get a better bass response anywhere I go. Also the lit SPL meters on the front are very attractive and great for impressing clients! I did find with the room tuning feature, it comes back a little different each time you run the test. So I recommend running it a bunch of times and taking an average. Also, they are surprisingly large and heavy - so make sure you have space and strong stands/shelves. I've heard a bunch of different monitors - and while these don't stack up to your custom Genelecs or anything, for the price range I feel they can't be beat. I would definitely buy them again knowing what I do about them now. Great buy!
