It is a monophonic synthesizer as the only high-quality Studio Electronics can. Hand-assembled and tested in USD. The components are 'discreet' so the top of the analog. Photo of Audiofanzine do not fit, mine is blue is very attractive!
It supports velocity, aftertouch, it has 512 memories and of course it is entirely Midif.
Its purpose is to emulate the vintage synths. For this he embarked four types of filters: SEM (Oberheim) MOOG (a floor down), ARP2600 (rare!) and TB-303.
He has two CSOs, ring modulator, and analog distortion.
4 Envelopes LFO and two complete the package.
The filters are switchable auto, so they can be selected using a membrane on the front.
It is currently the monophonic synth that offers more creative possibilities.
UTILIZATION
Despite those that say some, the system of membranes is really frustrating. We would like buttons. Shame. Otherwise, it's true that it is easy to create new sounds, they can also be Dumper by noon, so it's really convenient.
The manual is zero. Is that of the ATC with pages added to upgrades ... but hey you are not really need the manual!
Note, there is a kind of virtual remote control here: http://www.vstdev.com. This allows you to manage the ATC from its favorite VSTi host. Editing sounds is really so very practical.
SOUNDS
Sound issue, we are frankly at the top of the analog. Hard to beat any synth confused. It emulates the Oberheim, Moog, Yamaha CS, etc ... very easily. The sound is clean or dirty (thanks to the analog distortion), we can adjust any ...
Frankly this synth is a killer for those who are a fan of vintage and who are tired of having to connect and disconnect monsters to catch sounds.
It would in a 2U and has a sound that replaces most of the synth in all styles.
Grace notament to 4 filters. Moog filter is truly extraordinary. Despite the two CSOs (not 3 as the mini) it is low and leads to terrible to Nord Lead in the trash.
OVERALL OPINION
I am delighted by the possibilities. This is the kind of synth that are used frequently, because with the many memory, the bank's very well programmed, there is immediately a sound that is appropriate. It should be noted that the attack is super fast, faster than the SE1 for example, which can make very effective percussion and bass very punchy. With some effects it sounds better than any synth.
My best synth with my CS-30 and SE-1 which is just above the rack.
