Characteristics
Here is a rack analogue 3 u, handmade in the United States in the tradition of the collectors of rve as the Minimoog, but with a flash-rom and all the improvements made in the field of numrique: a good memory, is 4-ram rom and 4 of 99 patches each (the backup rom to ram, from the v. 0.72). LCD, 4 arrows, Schifter & save buttons, compared with the function;
TOTAL MIDI, just for the 4 basic modules, ie VCO, filter, LFO and Envelopes was ongoing Controller 50, in addition to permanent Controller of the standard noon. When the Controller on the physical machine, they are all in Sysex. There is no editor I know of specifically developed to computer.
It is indeed a sr monophonic VCO with 3, 3 can dlivrer waveforms simultaneously, triangle, sawtooth, square modulated, synchronized or not, a maximum of 9 , 4 ADSR envelopes, including two assignable dernires all-out, filter 12 or 24 dB, switchable, LP or BP, but not high pass.
The LFO is finally midi-sync, from v. 0.85 or not, it's up to.
However, the glide is not exponential, in the current version, may be the next up-date.

Utilization
The configuration-General for this rack is simple and traditional, a well cared srigraphie trs, color and chrome ... it's beautiful. Be careful, you will not find silver, as shown above, but deep blue ...
In addition, you can imagine that all the modulations can be of ACCS live on small area before a 3U rack, so you have to go through the LCD screen and the menu and make dfile Oh the surprise, you need both hands! This is the only inconvenient significant, but it is faster and also it is faster with shortcuts machines, sceen jumps, ds when you hit 12 or 24 DB, LFO 2 & 3, & 4 ENV3, or change the glide or frquence the filter. Cool.
As against the manual, it is really not cool! 14 pages descriptive but not explanatory in English, this is sufficient, condition dj connatre the basics of subtractive synthse.

La configuration générale de ce rack est simple et traditionnelle, une sérigraphie très bien soignée, couleur et chromes... c'est beau. Attention, vous ne le trouverez pas couleur argent, comme l'illustration ci-dessus, mais d'un bleu profond...
Par ailleurs, vous imaginez bien que toutes les modulations ne peuvent être d'accès direct sur la petite surface avant d'un rack 3U; il faut donc en passer par l' écran LCD et faire défiler le menu et là, Oh surprise, on a besoin de ses deux mains ! C'est le seule incommodité notable, mais on s'y fait vite et d'autre part elle est évitée par des raccourcis automatiques, des sceen jumps, dès lors que vous pressez sur 12 ou 24 DB, LFO 2 & 3, ENV3 & 4, ou que vous modifiez le glide ou la fréquence du filtre. Cool.

Sounds
There is no effect on this machine, empty, but an auxiliary audio input monophonic, which works well trs. You have to intrigue with the envelope of the noise generator.
The quality of sound is perfect in the Roma, mainly low-orients, but really all bass conceivable, you can edit and save in RAM.
But we can also make great lead sounds, and the famous trumpet minimoog!
Ralite in the quality of its dpend talented programmer and competitions are vritables organiss United States with this machine, which is more Designed to search for a sound designer, as Hip Hop production or Dancefloor quick, well done, in which case it would be better to move to the ATC-X, also produced by Studio Electronics, SPECIFICATIONS more at low, but may be this crneau more effective.
Any criticism of the same: a filtering rev limit while the company provides to other products of HPF, LPF, notch, multimode, SC 80, 303 Tb ... It would be well liked that choice of the SE-1X.
As I am far to be the end of my research with the sound SE-1X.
The quality of sound is perfect in the Roma, mainly low-orients, but really all bass conceivable, you can edit and save in RAM.

Il n'y a pas d'effet sur cette machine, évidemment; mais une entrée audio auxiliaire monophonique, qui fonctionne très bien. Il faut la triguer avec l'enveloppe du noise generateur.
La qualité des sons en rom est parfaite, essentiellement orientés basse; mais vraiment toutes les basses possibles et imaginables; on peut les modifier et les sauvegarder en ram.
Mais on peut aussi faire des sons lead superbes, ainsi la fameuse trompette du minimoog !
En réalité la qualité du son dépend du talent du programmeur et de véritables concours sont organisés aux USA avec cette machine, qui est davantage conçu pour la recherche d'un sound designer, que pour une production Hip Hop, ou Dancefloor vite fait, bien fait; dans ce dernier cas, il vaudrait mieux s'orienter vers l'ATC-X, produit également par Studio Electronics, plus spécifique aux basses, mais peut-être sur ce créneau, plus efficace.
Une critique tout de même: un filtrage très limité, alors que l'entreprise dispense sur d'autres produits des HPF, LPF, notch, multimode, CS 80, Tb 303... On aurait bien aimé avoir un tel choix sur le SE-1X.

is the culmination of a long evolution, announced long in advance and always appear different, we do not know why. But now we approach perfection.
A comparison could be made INTERESTED with the Oberheim OBM-X, but unfortunately it is no longer produced. I am very careful to try the ATC-X, for fear of going into a fatal dilemma ... for my bank account.
In its latest version and it is perfect condition, worth 1200 euros even used! But there are many spculations, of all kinds, which blur a little card ...
The alternative would be the choice for me t moog traveler, this is not the same price!

est l'aboutissement d'une longue évolution, annoncée longtemps à l'avance et différée sans cesse, on ne sais pour quelle raison. Mais aujourd'hui on approche de la perfection.
Une comparaison intéressante aurait pu être faite avec l' Oberheim OBM-X; malheureusement, il n'est plus produit. Je me suis bien gardé d' essayer l'ATC-X, de peur d'entrer dans un dilemme fatal... pour mon compte en banque.
Dans sa dernière version et à condition qu'il soit impeccable, il vaut bien encore 1 200 euros d' occasion! Mais il y a beaucoup de spéculations, de toutes sortes, qui brouillent un peu les cartes...
