«  the best simulation Ampeg Analog! »

Published on 08/28/10 at 01:50
This pedal is fully complete. 100% analog.

Effects loop. Phantom Power: Hyper practice.

Storing Preset 6: Widely enough.

XLR line output. 2 inputs to connect if necessary 2 basses.

A parallel output, convenient way to connect a tuner.

The total fine with small buttons that control the output signal of-20db to 0.

EVERYTHING is there. It is indeed a deluxe pedal.

UTILIZATION

The setup is very simple.
The presets offer a range of backgrounds super versatile.

A pedal to the musician, found his characteristic quick Ampeg.
I record directly into the soundcard.
It can not be simpler.

We created a sound, we support 2 times the button corresponding to the preset (there are 6) and it's done.

The manual is in English but we are in the super simple.
I bought my pedal to the USA, I do not know if the French importer translate the manual but I do not think ...

SOUND QUALITY

For the recording home studio: Excellent.
I had a real head Ampeg Ampeg SVX and AmpliTube also, software.

I first bought and then resold the Tech 21 VT and normal sound killed me.

Restitution is important, I use basic home studio monitors Alesis M1 Active 620 and the size of the cabinet allows really have a good dynamic in the bass.

Plugged into a console via phantom power is excellent. Clearly, in rehearsal, we take his bass, VT bass and nothing else. I had the day through a mackie and no correction to make.

Ampeg sound is there. Motown or rock or slap and even with the drive for heavy rock.

The sound is natural. I could even compare with metaphors of EH, nothing to see.

When the POD, the 21's tech explosion, I had one 3 years ago and resold.

the act of managing sound with buttons for me is most inspiring and musical than a mouse to process parameters leading to sound cold and flat.

The Tech 21 also respects the bass plugged in the same setting does not give the same output as the bass used. Button character full well the realism of the simulation.

OVERALL OPINION

You just understand that this pedal simulates an amp ampeg or picked up by microphones connected directly to a console. The character button allows you to manage this setting.

It does not connect to an amp, I have not tried but is not made for that too, unless it was put into the return loop.

The EQ is excellent, the media play their role. I added entry in a compressor pedal EBS MULTICOMP.

I really have a unique sound by my setting and it's digital or software that remains the same whatever the bass plugged.

For my part, I bought the pedal to the USA so the value for money / France is even better. I found a perfect solution for me and for analog recording and sound to bring my right and left ...

I also have the tech for 21 british guitarist, is almost the same story, we have the Marshall sound!

Clearly, for those who seek the Ampeg sound, or a credible solution to save his home studio bass, the pedal is the right thing.

I'll buy without worry if I lost it. Tech 21 has been strong.

Before making your choice in a similar budget try the Phil Jones Bass Buddy. The 2 products have their qualities.
