Electro-Voice PL84 - Kierkes
In the end, I have found that the PL 84 easily stood up to many of its more ridiculously high priced competitors. The RE 410, in my opinion, stood no chance against it. Electro-Voice RE1000 - moosers
I haven't used the ElectroVoice RE1000 more than a couple of times, but I'm definitely glad that I had a chance to check it out as I think it's a very cool sounding microphone. It will undoubtedly draw comparisons to the AKG C 414 mic, as it has the same look and I wouldn't be surprised if it was somewhat modeled after the ever popular C 414. ...

I've had the ElectroVoice RE 90B for about four years and while I don't use it all the time, it has a lot of uses that come in handy for a lot of different things.
