OVERALL OPINION

- How long have you use it?
I use it for a year, alone or in pairs.

- What is so special that you like most and least?
I love everything about this microphone, nothing to get rid of it is simply excellent, yet he never failed, on the contrary it is he who comes out best in my park, he has such versatility.
The microphone is easy to place, and any sounds at once. It may as well record a bass drum with a voice very satisfactory result, it is terrible on bass, snare drum, the atmosphere ....

In overhead is a killer (well placed, near a microphone on the snare will not help) we feel we have in hand something very serious, I did not try on toms but I'm pretty sure the result would be good.

In the vicinity of a snare is really great too, the grave is respected plug is clean with good dynamics, the sound of the snare is transcribed in a faithful, the chattering is present, Works great as a guitar or to use an acoustic amp it plain or saturated.

In short it is THE versatile micro by definition, with the body and clarity, as a comfortable atmosphere in that vicinity (which is its strength), or omni cardio in half a second with its clever little system having a full and faithful with a really good transient response.
Its response curve "flat" is clear, breathing smoothly without an ounce of aggression, are taken from his detailed, airy and warm at once. Would recommend to anyone wanting a versatile couple.

- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
In SDC had tried Shure PG81 who are clearly too expensive for the result, it's just too hard. There really any Shure and having in mind the eternal SM57-58 and the PG81 I did not have such a pleasant surprise.
I also have a pair of MK012 which is more acute blunt and whose transient response is much lower, but their sound color is so captivating that I can not say that it is less well .... Compared with a KSM technical point of view it does not make the weight but they are microphones we love for their imperfection. The KSM141 n'on them do not really.
I also have a pair of Pro37 (audio-technica) are very good in close, sometimes even surprising, but do not believe very promptly in different applications atmosphere sources or "sensitive"

- How would you rate the quality / price?
Ok, I did not feel like paying too much compared to the results, these microphones go everywhere and I got my pair on the cheap (798 euros). It is not price to pay for a microphone that could very well be the only model of an entire park.

- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
If I had the budget I will do well in full KSM 141 or 137 (the same cardio only) they are universal and I easily find a use for a dozen of these microphones at each session.
