If you are looking for a quick, easy, and cheap way to record your music, at CD quality, fast then check out this unit .It's a great machine, and eight tracks gives me more than enough to lay down two or three voices and still have room for five instruments. The downside or thing that I dislike about the Tascam DP 02cf is that the navigation is ...
I use the Tascam DP 01 FX digital recorder for everything. It is extremely easy to operate and all the mixing can be done on the recorder or the tracks can be exported to other software for further mixing. A great deal for the price. I was able to understand and use this product the first day I got it. Great for beginners and great for more expe...
If you are looking to make great recordings and have a low budget I would highly recommend the tascam port studio 2488 to anyone wanting to get into analog mixing and recording. Unit also isn’t that heavy so you can take it around with your if you need it to be mobile.
This machine has stood the test of time for a DAW, being limited only in its slow, separate CD burner and relatively small hard drive. However, for a cheap project/vacation studio, this is an excellent machine, especially if you can get it for under $150 with the CD burner. Upgrading the OS to the latest version is a great option in order to m...
I used this thing for many years when was into a lot of metal and progressive rock, and it certainly helped me learn a lot of those songs. While there are some software programs that do the same basic function as this device, it doesn't have nearly all the extra features, and they make the experience much better as they really let you feel like ...
The Tascam 2488 was the first recording unit I got about six years ago when I wanted to get into recording. It worked great for two years for me until I upgraded to a computer based recording system. To me, a computer based system is better than something like this because it has wider capabilities in terms of editing and mixing. This being said...
I couldn't be happier with the SX-1. many samplers may boast "the new classic of samplers/drum machines" but the SX-1 could definately fill that role. it is a integral part of my studio and will be for years to come, i'm sure. It would be nice to have true 3-band eq. It would be nice to have XLR inputs. It would be nice to record in 24 bit and not 16. It would be nice to back songs up on a USB drive, so I don't have to lug this thing into the next room to upload files onto my PC. It would be nice if it wasn't blue and felt like a toy. <br...
It is better to deviate from this product to move Green I think the computer (a personal MacBookPro or iMac + Logic + sound card) Example to make a mix, do not miss it, because otherwise everything must be redone. So I spent the whole night, to re-mixes because I miss a few seconds I was more concentrated. While th...
At this price, it's really a multi-interesting. If I had to find weak points: - Lack of connectors: 2 XLRs, 2 jacks for inputs is a bit lighter. a S / PDIF or RCA would was welcome, but with a hand mixer is easy to forget these details. - Too bad that did not come out a Tascam 16-track version...
