I mainly only use this studio just to do some small on the road stuff with but everything always makes its way back into Pro Tools for me, I love how I can just burn everything right a CD and later just put the CD in my computer to get my files.
The Boss BR -1600CD is a decently sized console but it is very light, it weighs around 10 pounds. If I could make a change to it I would make the screen a little better. It feels rather cheap, I would add a full color LCD display because for the price of 1500 dollars I at least want a LCD screen that I can enjoy looking at. Of course th...
As far as effects, you will not get many of them just some reverb. It would have been nice to have more effects but at this price I am surprised it has reverb and 2 band EQ controls on each channel. All of the knobs on the front of the unit are pretty well made and feel like they should be on an expensive recorder. The track wheel that works th...
If I could change one thing with this vocal trainer it would simply be that they include a AC power adapter to plug it into the wall. This device eats through your batteries very fast and you will find yourself running to the store more often to get batteries. If you want the wall outlet AC adapter you will have to pay about an extra 30 dollars ...
The thing about the DP-32 that I don’t like is the screen, I like to have a bigger screen when I am working my songs and mixing. The screen on this unit is very small and almost impossible to do what you need to do with it. Also this unit is made to be a full portable studio, but so is a computer and Pro Tools. So which one would you rather carr...
You will need to refer to the manual of the DP03 more than a several times, because the menu’s are a little confusing and the screen is so small. I wish it had an input VGA to plug in a bigger screen and I think it would have suited us better. With the good solid range of effects and CD burning right from the DP03 you just can go wrong.
If you're not ready to take the leap into computer-based recording, this is the top of the consumer-grade products. You could obviously purchase more expensive Roland or other units, but for the money, this is the recording console to have. Once you go through the instructional DVD a couple of times and master the navigation of the controls the ...
I love the simplicity of getting started and the knowledge that there are way more features to learn as I go along. I did get this used so I can honestly say it was worth the trade I made giving my buddy an Ibanez guitar for it. Definitely satisfied with the quality of what I have been able to do thus far. I had been using a DP-004 pocket studio...
Best thing is the stability- this unit is much more stable than most pc and will not embarrass you by crashing and losing data. It is a rock. The 16track capability is wonderful. Negatives include load up time- saving and recalling projects takes waaaaay longer than any modern day cpu DAW. The extra components- if you can even find them- are pri...
I like its ease of use and functionality most...It's great for recording at home and in the studio...It's a much more solid piece of gear than it gets credit for...It still stands up to its competition albeit with fewer bells and whistles...It's great for giving back what you give it in a creative and functional way....You can't go wrong with th...
