UTILIZATION

The feel is correct but a bit lightweight. Forcment is useful if you want to make super fast solos but I prfre even when the heavy touch of my old RD 300 which is much closer to that of a real piano (but hey, instrument-l did not have the same price dpart). That said, I think it's partly thanks to touch the relatively lightweight as poinds the piano does not Exceeds 20 pounds (my back says thank you!).
Operation is simple, once you read the manual.
Some remarks dsobligeantes even when:
- It is unfortunate that need both hands when you want to change the sound of the "lower" split keyboard mode.
- There is no Volume Controller spars for the midi out channel.
- The automatic transposition in split mode is a functionality that I would pass.

SOUNDS

The sounds are correct. I find the piano a little mtallique and Difference in volume between the treble and bass are EXAGRES (means only the treble and it's really boring). At home I will continue to use Acustix https://fr.audiofanzine.com/sample-piano/acustix/Concert-Grand-Piano/ with Halion.
I love the rhodes and hammond sounds.

OVERALL OPINION

This is not the instrument but I rvais report quality price is right.
I have tried many other instruments but olny that Roland was more or less my needs (and I can not afford to buy a Clavia nordstage).
If I had to buy a piano now, my choice would be srement on this instrument, even when that Submitted a number of advantages, including poinds pen for scne.

USE

The keyboard heavy touch is very similar to that of a conventional piano, it's cool when you get out of a classical education, it was a "real" keyboard to the touch, which is perfect for me in my music =)

SOUNDS

I use the RD-170 essentiellemet for his piano and rhodes sounds rather realistic; the pads and bass are nice too, the rest is history to have some other sounds available;
I take the point, however because of the relatively limited range of sounds, some pianos, Rhodes, Wurlitzer more were not luxury ...
Finally, I guess for the price at which it is found, it already offers a lot of possibilities, and it remains a strong and credible keyboard scene, I have used many times on stage without my weary me.

NOTICE GLOBAL

If I had to acquire a stage keyboard in this price range, I would take probably this model; the price / quality ratio is excellent, and it's good stuff, Roland quality is felt in the craft.
I had tried other keyboards (unfortunately I do not remember the model), but the RD-170 was the only one to convince me. The heavy touch + piano sounds and rhodes, I cracked ^^
I just bought a Gem Promega 3, with a much greater range, which has replaced my Roland, I thus separates, but I do not regret anything, I'm really happy with the choice I have done at the time, and I recommend it to everyone who needs a big piano of very good quality at good prices.

UTILIZATION

The touch is really trs close to that of a piano (I am not a pianist so others can probably give you more information on this point). However, it is absolutely arrter to seek "the" piano touch. If you want to touch it, buy a piano! This is not the goal of having a sublime touch when achte scne a piano. Touch is excellent for this type of hardware, period.

Gnrale the config is very simple, you wonder is why there are so many buttons
The top of the keyboard reminds one spaceship. At the same time, the use is intuitive and the ergonomics is easier (1 = 1 button operation)
This chapter li as using the keyboard, I note 9, because the use is simple and intuitive.

SOUNDS

The sounds are good trs (multi samples and multi layers)
I think ralistes to the sounds of piano, electric piano, organ (I come back here on my first view, there is a type B3 organ sound with clean and beautiful against non-adjustable, the sounds are of finished once and for all)
The reverb and chorus (8 presets each) are simple and effective. It sounds natural.
The expression of the keyboard is good trs.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 18 months
+ + I like the touch on piano sound / e-piano, organ, reverb sober, the pedals sustain progressive.
- A word about the design and construction: this is only my opinion and are quite cheap matrial (plastic timber on immiation cts) to a keyboard 1100 / 1200 Euros, it is reasonable wait a design a little more careful (aluminum hull, for example, real wood on cts). That's my opinion again, we must also say that I'm really hard trs regarding the design and construction.

I note with an 8 overall because of the design ct / assembly (7 / 10) but the quality of the keyboard and the sound of the piano are not numrique challenge (9 / 10 this ct)
In addition, looking at the ct of Concur (korg, yamaha) design and assembly of roland are far from being the lowest range. What's all relative

If I had to redo this choice? Now that I have a good knowledge of the Competition, yes, I probably Rasht.

UTILIZATION

The keyboard is enjoyable to touch trs. For piano purists still has a little more lightweight than standard but it is fun to play on this instrument. The keys are bright enough to return to play fast trills.
Bought used without the original manual, the t trs grip fast thanks to the intuitive controls

SOUNDS

The sounds of this keyboard are simply breathtaking. The DIFFERENT Pianos and Rhodes are trs Fidler, albeit with a few keys on BMOL dernire the range that are a little low in sound. The organs are warm, the synth just for the decor (or serve as a background piano for lovers of film music ^ ^).

OVERALL OPINION

I just bought it and I'm really glad we did trs. In the same genre, I tried an RD-100 (too soft keyboard), Yamaha P70 (sounds a little less convincing), Korg SP-250 (which is too "piano room" go to my t) before I throw my body on the piano scne. For me the biggest advantage is having a keyboard trs eclectic sound to me bourrines piano rock on scne ... Must say, the bte Pipelines Limited for!
