Utilization
I do not have the manual but I am accustomed to a great Ensoniq. The edition with the ergonomics of the brand could not be easier!
Je n'ai pas le manuel mais je suis un grand habitué d'Ensoniq. L'édition avec l'ergonomie de la marque est on ne peut plus simple !
Sounds
Sound, aaahhh ... Trs typ Ensoniq or more: one can easily numriques great atmosphere. This would this famous wavetable "TRANSWAVE". Just one example: we take the wave "pulse 1" and the module is 99% with an average speed LFO / slow (20), you follow my eyes? With only one voice as a program, just a small rverbe room and there is ... And there are still two voices available!
In my humble opinion, it is mainly based on the synthetic waveforms and re-create the atmosphere "original" of the vintage, it is the he excels. Compared with contemporary instruments, it is still well in the trs Creations / numriques analog formulations. And then he really is he the grain, which is the most important.
I use it for times / Toto-style composed Journey, and it is compltement cohrent.

Le son, aaahhh ... Très typé, Ensoniq, voire plus : on retrouve facilement l'ambiance des grands numériques. Cela tiens à cette fameuse table d'onde "transwave". Juste un exemple : on prend la forme d'onde "pulse 1" et on la module à +99% avec le LFO à une vitesse moyenne/lente (20), vous suivez mon regard ? Rien qu'avec une voice programmée comme ça, juste une petite réverbe d'ambiance et on y est ... Et il reste encore 2 voices disponibles !!!
A mon humble avis, il faut principalement s'appuyer sur les formes d'ondes synthétiques et recréer l'ambiance "originelle" du vintage, c'est là qu'il excelle. Par rapport aux instruments contemporains, il fait encore très bonne figure dans les créations/émulations analo-numériques. Et puis il a vraiment son grain bien à lui, ce qui est le plus important.

I just acqurir the (late 2011) but I dj used extensively in the years to the VFX 90-2000. I had then swapped with a friend, dcourag by the famous problem of "calibration" ...
The one I found is in very good state, with some bugs inhrents eprom version (1.37). So I prvoirai backup disks before going scne.
It is empty in case of misfortune, I would look in another or a SD1 or TS10.

Je viens juste de l'acquérir (fin 2011) mais j'avais déjà longuement utilisé le VFX dans les années 90-2000. Je l'avais alors troqué avec un ami, découragé par le fameux problème de "calibrage" ...
Celui que je viens de trouver est en très bon état, avec quelques bugs inhérents à la version eprom (1.37). Je prévoirai donc des sauvegardes disquettes avant d'aller sur scène.
Il est bien évident qu'en cas de malheur, j'en chercherais en autre ou bien un SD1 ou un TS10.
