Polyphony 64 voices - 3 synthses are available: AWM, AN, FDSP - but using multi-synthse in performance often lead to problem in DSP - Keyboard good quality and enjoyable - 3 wheels - Good ergonomics gnrale - Possibility of extension: multi outputs, digital audio, SCSI, FLASH and RAM memory - Attention SCSI is buggy DBiT trs slow but it works .. . - MIDI implementations correct, but no possibility to assign controllers to twelve o'clock paramtres sounds - Squenceur way, nice for dpanner - Arpggiateur - Patterns -

UTILIZATION

Mode "Voices" to use mono-timbral mode and a "Performance" for multi-timbral (16 sounds). It's simple and effective. The menu navigation is quite intuitive (thanks in large notch rtro_clair. The edition is sound against more complicated and requires a good cannaissance synthses of AWM, AN and FDSP . But it is easily found on the web of sound banks ddies.
Intgralement manual in French and trs well.

SOUNDS

Sounds wonderful especially for pianos (acoustic and electric) and ground. The rhythms are much less well made. But the great strength of this synth (like its big ERRF the EX5) is the possibility to import a sample, to rework it and make a new sound by Entire. With this technique, no need (or nearly) to buy another synth just to have a good amount of memory and embedded flash sounds that kill you on the spot!

OVERALL OPINION

You will therefore understand, this synth me flat. I use it now for 4 years and prs a few bugs too mchants (SCSI trs first slow and unstable OS), it is an invitation vritable the Fast Fashion.
N'tant addition to the catalog of Yamaha (Motif succd him), you can find it on the second hand market. The report qualitprix becomes excellent!
