Winter NAMM 2012 News
To conclude this is actually the first whammy i've owned. I know so many players who have owned it before and sold it and bought it back again etc. Like I said it's the wild card in your pedalboard. Either you can find use for it or you can just use it for some fun tricks! I think it's quite worth having for what I do. I do a lot of cover songs ...
Overall this is a pretty good dirt pedal for the money. You aren’t going to get boutique sounds out of this thing, but when compared to many Boss overdrives this pedal comes out ahead. Honestly I don’t think there is a lot of difference between many distortion pedals in this range, but adding a two band EQ makes this pedal a lot more versatile...
Overall this thing is well worth the price they ask for it new, and can be a steal on the used market. I haven’t had any reliability issues with it, and it seems to be well built. The tones coming out of this thing were only available in large rackmount units or bulky outboard reverb tanks years back, so it’s great to have them all packed int...
Overall this pedal never really struck a chord with me. It does your standard digital delay sounds, but that’s really about all I’d use this pedal for. It throws in a couple of models and features, but they are so watered down and untweakable that they appear to be me gimmicky sales pitches from Digitech than useful features. If you were to n...
This is the best of the old-school Whammy units, by far, just because the presets can be selected with the foot instead of the hand. Otherwise, it's functionally the same, and I happen to like the sleek black cosmetics of this pedal. Recommended.
Overall I wouldn’t call this a great overdrive, but I would call it a great overdrive for the price and just an OK overdrive at any price. It lacks some dynamics of a more expensive overdrive pedal, but the bonus of the two band EQ would make it my choice over similar Tubescreamer type pedals. It works great as a solo boost or a near-clean boo...
Overall this is a decent unit. The effects sound nice, the distortions are okay, and the built in drum machine and USB recording features are really handy for making quick sketches of songs. If you're looking for a cheap way to play around with a lot of cool sounds I highly recommend it, if you're looking for prolevel effects to u...
The DigiTech XP100 Whammy Wah is definitely worth looking into if you're after a whammy pedal. While it's not as in depth as the regular DigiTech Whammy pedals will be, it still can do a lot and if you're just looking for the basic effect you'll get that plus some. The XP100 has a cheap price when found used since the pedal is about 15 years o...
For the price, there's some great sounds in here. And it will likely fit your setup whatever it is. It might be worth getting 2 of them though because the effects run out quickly in terms of what you can do with them. I have tried also the Eleven Rack and Axe-fx and this unit can't quite keep up with them, but for the price it's still worth l...
For the money these used to cost it was hard to beat.I luckily bought my first when they were on clearance because they did not sell well and bought a second one for cheap as a backup when I noticed how bad it was made. Unfortunately they have been discontinued and the used prices are just all over the map. Kind of funny how that happens. If yo...
