«  Platinum just good to mix »

Published on 12/28/11 at 05:10
It fits perfectly in a facility (I use it to mix with two turntables with Traktor Scratch Pro).
I saw more sound card NI, it makes me a bunch of RCA son but that starting from the table and there are many landings for the turntables.
The 2-channel mix is perfect, the equalizers are accurate, with a kill for each frequency.
The small box is indeed correct, I often use the filter, flanger and phaser. The echoes are sometimes difficult to manage. In the end I realize that this is not the effects that make a good mix, so I rarely use. They can be useful in the breaks to better "get" the piece before the resumption of a couplet.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is simple, you just need a time to master properly the effects.
I used the manual just starting to see what are the effects in particular, but the rest is completely intuitive.
A table is easy to use.

SOUNDS

The equalizer is good (and then I'm not sound engineer but I think it's good, never had any problems). The kills are effective. No breath (I hear nothing abnormal).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 2 years and is still going strong, no problems.
What I like most is the simplicity with respect to the 2-channel mix, then I like the least effect box that has a more average production (the small fader I have stayed in the fingers and the kind of BPM counter to the effects a huge race so imprecise).
I recommend it for those who want to mix two tracks which are not crazy effects.
With the experience I would take the same effects but because as I said these are not the effects that make a good mix.
