Characteristics
I just bought a card for 1500 HD PCI interface and € 96 for € 800 then a G5 single processor for 200 €.
I do not regret at all .... Of course the G5 train for other applications, but protools is perfect because the card handles all ....

Je ne regrette pas du tout.... bien sûr le G5 rame pour d'autres applications, mais pour protools c'est parfait étant donné que la carte gère tout....

Utilization
In short, Digidesign is very hard for us to spend money while there are still large studio with a G4 running!
Bref, Digidesign est très fort pour nous faire dépenser de l'argent alors qu'il y a encore de gros studio qui tourne avec un G4 !
Getting Started
Previously had a G5 Quad and a Digi 003 .... it works just as well, but with better quality.
J'avais précédement un G5 Quad et une Digi 003....ça marche aussi bien, mais avec une meilleure qualité.
Overall Opinion
Of course I could not do the update and I should stay in ProTools 8 ...
not care, protools is at the end of the chain of recording and making the sound is good before!
So keep your € microphone, cables, preamp, compressor .....

Bien sûr je ne pourrai pas faire de mise à jour et je devrais rester en Protools 8...
rien à foutre, protools est à la fin de la chaine d'enregistrement et ce qui fait le son se trouve bien avant !!!
