I have never seen a microphone SHURE SM58 manufactured in China.
In my humble opinion, they are copies, as for the Sennheiser brand.
PRICE: less than 80 HT in Germany for the original, so why deprive yourself or buy copies!

OVERALL OPINION

- It should be a good year that I use in the studio

- Special ... universal ... Any sound engineer knows him and knows how to get good sound. - I used some micros "low quality" before and I have invested in a Zoom H2n that serves micro view of atmosphere main mic time. I still use the Zoom for drafts of jam or to record sounds of percussion / drums in addition to the 57.

- Value correct price for the good stuff. I would do without hesitation that choice! For my voice ... now it sticks nickel for the singer I think that I will invest in a AKG reacts better timbre of his voice.

The Shure SM-58 has a capacitor in his head, it is a dynamic. It does not need phantom power (48 volts) but if it is sent by mistake via the table, and it supports not Crame.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this microphone there are over 5 years now, indefatigable he suffers no weakness or deterioration after thousands of hours of rpeter 'recording and concerts!

The nice thing remains its precision: It captures with great ease volume changes.
It actually fits all voices and styles of singing (whether the quiet murmur of severe, acute, the throat, the heavy, male or female ...).

However Studio can be found quickly on limited vocal recordings of extreme metal to changes in volume! But the alternative is for me a compression.

Compared with other vocal microphones remains my favorite! After testing the Shure Lyric several Seinnheiser and other small brands, the big plus is mostly usability:
It is well balanced, the body is shorter than a Sennheiser for example, the ideal weight (not too light or heavy).

This mic does not need to prove it is robust, reliable, durable and cost of purchase is sincerely correct! Personally, we can not be disappointed!

I give a better rating to the BETA 57 for his faithful rendition.
Good value for Shure MS58 report. With experience I will do the same choice.
