XQP will soon launch an improved version of its optical de-esser module in API 500 format, called 531A.
This evolution of the XQP 531 features two Soft and Clean modes for sibilance reduction, where either Vactrol or Silonex opto-isolators are employed.
XQP also added to its 531A a fourth frequency (W) to the sidechain high-pass filters to further isolate sibiliance.
On the aesthetics side, the color scheme has been revised, the knobs changed with smaller ones, a backlit In switch added and you can remove the front panel for maintenance.
