Winter NAMM 2012 News
This is one of my favorite basses I've ever played. I love the style of the design, and the playing action on the neck really helps me play this bass with ease with any technique. The dual humbuckers has been standard fare on guitars for the past 50 years, but never caught on in the bass world for some inexplicable reason. Here it seems quite na...
All in all I think the Fender Aerodyne Jazz is a great bass for anyone looking for a unique take on the standard Jazz or Precision Bass that's melded together in one cohesive and great sounding package. They're built to a very high quality standard and the tones are excellent. Not to mention the classy look as well. At $800 new these basses are ...
I've had this base before and used it a ton of times, and I hardly ever pick up any of my other 6 basses any more. If I'm at work, I'll use my acoustic resonator for practice, but now, I'm even plugging in at work with my little headphone amplifier, because this bass is just so comfortable. The neck and action have such a great feel, that the ba...
Other than looking at the head stock, I'm not sure how to tell as to whether this is the Mexican made Fender or not... The Mexican Fender Precision I've experienced has Some of the best sounding pickups I've heard; suitable for recording with almost no EQ at all, which is unusual for stock pickups. Playability of the neck and fret intonation are...
The Fender Telecaster Bass is a great bass for professional bassists or anyone looking for a versatile, top of the line vintage bass. A lot of people don't know about the Telecaster Bass, but for hardcore bass gear heads, this is very well regarded. I don't know what it would cost you to pick one up, and keep in mind that different basses are ...
You can find these guitars pretty easily as you can find a gas station in a major city. They're very popular and the market is very saturated with these guitars. You can find one new or even used and it will not take you very long. They're available online and pretty much any music retailer in the world. It's a great starting point if yo...
I would definitely recommend this bass for the price, as it's a nice mid priced bass with all the features you need to play. Since buying my bass, I've played others in it's price range that felt better, and even more solid, but unfortunately they didn't have the look of a Jazz bass, and although tone is very important to me, I like the traditi...
Overall I think this is a great bass for the price if you like the neck and the sound. I have considered putting a jazz bass neck on a precision body for the sound of the precision but the comfort of jazz neck and possibly will in the future but with a stock p-bass neck I decided I couldn't justify keeping it.
Overall I think this is a great bass, I got it for a very good deal in a trade for a Digitech Whammy 4 effects pedal due to the cosmetic damage to the body of the bass by the previous owner. I'd be happy to buy one of these new though for the asking price they're quality instruments although I can't see myself buying a new bass for a while.<br /...
I love the sound of this bass more than anything else about it, though it does play fantastically. I think this is probably the newest of the original Fender basses that I've played and really enjoyed. It's definitely going to be expensive if you see it, but it will be cheaper than a 67 P-Bass, for instance. Thus, it's still a great buy. Granted...
