Apparently it was made in Korea, I say this because it is leading in the luthier now for adjustments.
The bridge is a classic, close enough to the Fender Bass, no adjustments or other 3d.
The neck is like crossing the profile somewhat flattened at the back and not too thin, giving a grip, virile enough, but great to play.
It has 24 frets, readily available in the treble, and micro config has 2 jazz bass.
Settings: 2 volumes, double bass knob / acute, active / passive switch (and an LED to indicate this).

UTILIZATION

The handle is great to play, it does not tire, it is not too late, SD kinds Ibanez sleeves are too much for my taste, for example, and the spacing of the strings is somewhat lower compared to that of a jazz bass, but slapper easily, with a little practice.
The bass is balanced, not too heavy. The shape is ideal for access to acute.
The pickups do not sound too bad, pretty péchus, and the preamp is very effective, especially since it has access to the back plate to a screw to adjust the sortie.Il consists of a serious boost and treble.
However, access to the 9v battery requires a loosening of the above-said plate, too bad.

SOUNDS

Overall I would say that we can we all play with this bass.
A priori, it has a modern sound, but controls not allow a lot of possibilities.
Bass is powerful, but poorly defined, treble boosted preamp 'lacks a bit of finesse, but it works just the same, especially as my reference strings are old.
The pickups seem quite honest, but it will always change to a higher range kit, because the violin is nice.
I play mostly with a Markbass (Little Mark 3 + Ny 151), but on tour I play a little on the different amp backline.
Maybe I regret that there are no settings of mediums, and the cutoff frequency of the treble I like medium.
Micro acute position with some serious boosted, can accompany in great style with a good foundation and good ghosts Pad "poppantes." There are the serious, what!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months I think, now. I was looking for a 5 string cheap that sounds good.
I especially wanted the violin or quality, even acastillage upgrade the electronics and thereafter.
I had a lot of 5 different strings, Fender American Deluxe Precision (blah), Sandberg (great, very reliable), Warwick Thumb, Yamaha, Ibanez ATK 405 (very good quality / price ratio), and others. ..
This one I wanted one for a while, it is not ugly, sounds good, and is cheap. on the other hand, it no longer exists in nine, unfortunately, and has been rather rare in secondhand. The violin, the neck-through, are nice, the look is not bad at all, very nice grip, and the sound is pretty decent, powerful, and offers a lot of possibilities.
Currently I am testing over a Bartolini preamp NTBT (boost / cut, bass / treble), and I plan to mount a medium stack parametric J.East. We'll see. I also put a graphite nut, I'll try it tomorrow I'll tell you ...
Paid € 250 secondhand, there is nothing wrong.
I would like to find a 6 string.

UTILIZATION

Very good 5 string bass entry level.
Effective integrated pre-amp.
A little "soft knee" in passive mode but can be compensated by an external pre-amp (Behringer for me).
Channel a bit narrow for a five-string for slappeurs but agrees that all at the finger-picking.
Featuring one of the first models, the battery change gives some sweating (not less than six screws to remove and reassembly is scabrous (fixing columns pre-amp on the plate).
The following models have been modified with a trap dedicated to the stack.
Very good value for money

Oriented "walking bass".
Therefore adapted to Soul and Jazz (very poorly suited to Rock).

10 years of loyal service.

Good violin.
I would do the same choice for the first five strings.
