All in all I think the Yamaha RBX170 is a great bass for anyone looking for something that's not too expensive, but has the quality, feel and tone of basses that cost a fair bit more. They are about $200 new which is a killer deal considering the excellent design and quality that goes into this. It will blow away a Squier or other cheapo bass, s...
All in all I think the Yamaha RBX774 is a treat for anyone who is looking for a light, easy to play and great modern sounding bass for not a lot of cash. Yamaha gear doesn't hold killer resale so these can be picked up cheaply if you're vigilant. It is great for a variety of musical styles and I've had excellent luck with this bass for live and ...
The Yamaha RBX760A is actually a pretty awesome bass guitar for the price. It's definitely as good as some instruments that are more expensive, and if you change out the pick ups here you'd probably have yourself a very nice bass. The action is outstanding as it's super easy to play. I don't believe that they're making the RBX760A any more, b...
For a mid level bass guitar, the Yamaha TRB-4P definitely offers just about as much versatility as you’re going to get. The price is definitely a bargain considering the overall sound and feel of the guitar, as Yamaha can afford to do so since they are such a big company. I’d absolutely recommend this bass to anyone who wants a more than solid...
Good instrument with good value for money. Quite good sound and high-playing comfort. Of course, you can't compare it with much more expensive instruments.
I've owned it for a few months and I would definitely buy it again. But I'm also thinking about buying a high-end Yamaha (a TRB maybe) because they are well-designed, sturdy, versatile, beautiful, etc.
I've been using this bass guitar for 1 month and I'm totally satisfied. On the one hand it has a great look (illuminated controls and attractive design which influenced my choice) and on the other hand the sound is really good (it gives me a richer palette of sounds). Compared to my MusicMan basses, the RBX sounds less powerful and deep, neverth...
I've been using this bass for about 3 years. I love the low price/great sound value of this thing, and the fact that you don't need to do much to it most of the time in a recording to get it sitting right. I've tried a bunch of other basses, this is one of my favorites. The value is fantastic, if you're in the $500 range, this is a great bet....
- For how long have you been using it? About 8 years. - What thing do you like most/least about it? Least: I don't really like the shape or colour (mine is a weird translucent blue-green, yuck!), i'd much prefer a natural finish and a shape like the Rickenbacker 4001 or even a Hofner violin bass...i think this one looks ...
So I use the bass Yamaha RBX-170 for 3 months, and I tried dozens of lower before I decide! I think I had to go to the store at least 3 or 4 times a week for one month and a half before I decide! My favorite heart went low because this pleasant, not too heavy, and detail, Old Violin Burst Sun, it is just beautiful! At value for m...
