Purchased from Musician's Friend for $69.00(US)
Replacement for aging DOD Acoustic1 multiFX board.

Visually attractive. Unfortunately, that's about the only nice thing I have to say about this unit. A piece of petrified dung encased in crystal is still a POS.

    Where to begin?
First, the factory presets are substandard. Many of them just sound like a bunch of hissing snakes.
Although the advertising hype says all the settings are user editable. storing the user edits is impossible using the instructions provided in the owner's manual--which was probably written by Chinese slave labor with no real knowledge of English. Although the advertising hype says all the settings are user editable. storing the user edits is impossible using the instructions provided in the owner's manual--which was probably written by Chinese slave labor with no real knowledge of English. I then attempted to use the procedures based on 8 years of owning a DOD multiFX unit. Those didn't work either. The customer service at Alesis has been unresponsive to questions about this issue.

The construction of the unit is sound, but as I observed above, encasing a piece of dung in crystal still makes the core content a POS.

Avoid this unit. Purchase something else.

I bought this of ebay for £59

Great for everything, just what i wanted, the best effects ive heard for under £100

I can't fault the interior, but the exterior design is lackin somewhat

OK, only plastic, but strong enough for frequent use on stage.

The very best electric guitar effects pedal for under £100

This product retails at about £69.99.

The amount of effects, and you can change any of the effects. It looks good, and the sound quality is great from a 'cheap' product.

You can only get it in a few shops. I got mine in Barnstaple Music Centre.

Brilliant quality, not only in the build, but in the sound.

The best multi effects floor unit you can buy for this amount of money o the market today.

Multi effect pedal is a very complete as much about the different effects on the development of different settings on this point it is still respectable

    UTILIZATION

The configuration of the apareil is relatively simple, despite some sound (pitch is an octave) complex was used in an appropriate manner, and the manual is in English so difficult to understand for technical words.

    SOUND QUALITY

I will not mention the amp simulations that are entry level so unconvincing but other effects:
-Equalizer: it is difficult to find a note his choice quickly, I advise not to use
-Speaker simulators: it's more an equalizer.
-Effects: wah-wah, phaser, tremolo, slow attack, rotar…

-Effects: wah-wah, phaser, tremolo, slow attack, rotary, chorus, auto phase, etc. are quite complex has settle, take his time
-Other effects used reverbs etc are nice to use and very easy to adjust, but a noise that increases life if you push the pedal to the bottom.
Unbearable-effects: the pitch is unusable as the "digital effects" I never use the effects that I think are too much on this pedal and it is mainly why I put 7 for sound quality .

    OVERALL OPINION

This is a multi purpose, entry-level, and other models are equally satisfesants than the more expensive but often. even when we feel that the digital

I have been using my beginners and I never tire of it, however I have not toured the corny, which I think is very complex to use
many effects available, unfortunately many unnecessary effects of course, we can see an incredible breath of some distos, and wahwah very tricky to deal with, takes time to adjust to the beast, but ds it has been in hand (or foot) is the foot (I repeat myself!)!

connection level, we will say that there is nothing more simple, you plug the adapter for juice, and the jack of output, and why not add an expression pedals, so it feasible, is to prvu!

    UTILIZATION

While the use! or it is not hard, he puts up a shot of all is, and she sings the way you want, provided you edit the effect, and a big big big black spot!
Let me explain: there are two large buttons, and 5000 words in English (no no no look no y'en 5000 is just an image!)
a manual will be banging your head into the wall, I prefer manual left closed and seek by myself, it's longer, but at least we made it in the long run;)
besides, I still have not found how to program has two effects on to chain them, believe me I am still looking j'vous inform;)

a part in, I found nice to add a tuner in the corny, yet he must understand how to use, manual in English when you hold us!

    SOUND QUALITY

Mixed feelings on quality sound effects there are very convincing, others less, well remember that it's digital and it is cheap, but hey, there are still a standard on some horrible breath distos, absent a pitch, and effects completely useless, but still a little good, and we quickly forget those little dtails, and if we wanted more, it would be adding money and one would buy a small zoom 3 times more expensive:-p

Finally, a still very good overall

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 1 ½ years on a 2002 Fender strato, and I still think I'm gonna keep it for some time, probably in the background, I intend to buy a real pedals, forget that it remains an entry level, and you always want more power (who will say the opposite?)
it is not expensive (about 130) very comprehensive, and it's easy to forget some default
I think I would do the same if a choice has to be

This is a multi-effects pedal for Guitar, as the name implies. This isn't really able to connect to anything other than the guitar, as it only has the 1/4" input and output. There's no MIDI or USB inputs. It's not rackable. There is an option to connect a controller pedal that I haven't tried using.

    UTILIZATION

Using this box isn't too difficult in theory, as there aren't a whole lot of controls. The two footswitches switch through the settings one at a time (left goes up, right goes down). The knobs are for switching through presets. They also switch from the editing mode to play mode, which is sometimes confusing. The pedal is a bit of a pain sometimes. Everything on the screen…

Everything on the screen is really tiny to read, so I have a hard time identifying what sounds I'm editing. The manual is almost necessary for once, as the two-letter screen doesn't exactly give a whole lot of info about what sound is selected. This gets complex when trying to play on the spot, which I found almost impossible to do.

    SOUND QUALITY

I think that this sounds about the same with any instrument. I guess I wasn't really blown away by any of the sounds on this preset. The amp-modeling sounds didn't really resemble the real thing in any way at all. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The effects were average at best, and really lame at worst. Only about one usable delay, reverb, and filter effects out of all of them. Considering there's over 40 effects, this isn't a high ratio. I think that this is just another example of a pedal that's great for how cheap it is when practicing on your own, but it's downright embarrassing to listen outside to in a club or on record. There's no real selling point to this feature when it comes to sound.

    OVERALL OPINION

I wanted to like this pedal, as I'd read a great review of it in a magazine. However, I'm convinced that they were just trying to sell it, and that it was really an advertisement in disguise. This pedal just isn't worth anyone's time, except maybe a young kid who doesn't know any better. For the price, it's not bad. But that's a pretty low price almost always. The sound quality is generally pretty bad, and doesn't really do anybody's sound justice. There are certainly better multi-effects processors out there for people who are willing to spend a little bit more.
