Multi-effects, rack uniténumérique with a lamp to "warm" sound, if you want.
All the usual effects are included in this machine, with the exception of a harmonized intelligent (but it has a pitch).
The rear audio input, two outputs (for stereo, a nice touch), connection noon and taken to the PSU. Ca, it is not practical (separate power supply).

UTILIZATION

Setup is simple, if you are accustomed to architecture Rocktron. Otherwise, it can put off, but with a little perseverance, we made it, so, it's pretty simple. The button "compare" allows, as its name suggests, to compare the initial sound and the sound after changing a setting: very convenient.
The French manual is clear.

SOUND QUALITY

I use the Rocktron for a long time, once with a Voodoo Valve, now with the Multivalve. I plug it into the loop of my head OUR CA100.
The effects are fine for me, but I put quite a few: delay and reverb on the solos, and clean sounds, I sometimes add a little chorus.
The égalseur is convenient, but do not abuse it, or risk losing side natuel the sound of the amp (but that's a rule).
The great thing is the noise reduction "Hush".
Last but for me, the two switches that can control the channels of the amp along with the effects, with a pedal noon.
A little "less": there is a slight lag when moves into position "post hush", but in my case (group of noisy hard), it does not interfere with, because not audible from the other instruments. I put only 7 because of this slight lag, but I'm tough.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two years, but I had before Voodo Valve, Rocktron I bought precisely because the effects suited me perfectly. I have other multi-effects, I like also, but I'm not a big user of effects.
What I love most: switches, quality effects, the hush.
What I like least: the separate power supply, the small latency
The value for money in hand, is excellent.
If it fails, I have another handy to replace it.

ATTENTION: THIS IS A NOT A multi-effects AND PREAMP

The Multivalve is a 19 "1U rack equipped with dune type lamp with adjustable 12AX7 gain (zero gain, low, high) that gives warmth to the sound. It is controllable noon, can switch the channels of amps and is stro.
In addition, it possde a HUSH that lon little place upstream or downstream effects.

As for effects, there are two types of configurations:

Classic: HUSH, 4-band legalization Settings, flanger, chorus, reverb, compression, tremolo, auto pan, delay, phaser, pitch shift and simulation DSurround.

Rotary: HUSH, 4-band legalization Settings, rotary speaker, reverb, compression, and delay simulation DSurround.

Custom settings plutt effects are complete. And the effects are good quality well jai wanted to compare my TC Electronics G Major.

UTILIZATION

The configuration and programming is relatively simple if we did not daccsmme lhabitude this type of machine. The manual is clear and prcis net but all in English!

I havent yet had loccasion dessayer orders twelve o'clock but I do not think this is trs complicated because of the ease-General for grip.

SOUND QUALITY

Some will say no cest not true it colors the sound, I say not long quon put him well in the loop deffet (not dintrt in between I think!). The pleasure comes next RULES lorsquon the HUSH is that lon may enjoy a breathless (or almost the Manir not kill her). Jai HUSH try before a rack is I havent seen the diffrence with it.

For my part, I do not use compressors in the multi-effects gnral my DBX Laffaire done better.

The effects themselves are of good quality but plutt plutt vintage. Lintrt the principal is in my opinion in the lamp, the hush and lgalisation so I did not try too much effects. Just enough to be able to say they are somewhat crystalline.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this hardware for a month, and I think the multi is expressed by the simple do have a lamp. I think it's pretty good and I test an amp lamp and it's even better!

I try the TC G major and the only diffrence are at the lamp and paramtrage effects (very simple to Multivalve)!

The ratio quality price is reasonable given the number of effect.

I think with the exprience I would do this choice paired with a head lamp by adding a TC. Unfortunately, I have no head lamp and I love to modifi effects in depth.

The Rocktron MultiValve was an evolution of the Replifex, which was the predecessor of the Xpression. Most of the things I'm writing in this review can directly apply to the Replifex and the Xpression. I'll note the differences when necessary. The MultiValve's main job was to recreate famous stomp box sounds in the form of a 1U chassis. This helps reduce clutter, saves money and gives the user one heck of a bang for their buck. The MultiValve came with a plethora of effects: HUSH, Parametric EQ, Flanger, Chorus, Reverb, Compressor, Tremolo, Auto Pan, Delay, Phaser, Pitch Shifter, Speaker Simulator and Rotary. It has the standard inputs, outputs, MIDI IN, MIDI OUT/THRU and phantom power. However, the MultiValve and Replifex have a channel switching function built in. This allows you to effectively MIDI enable most amps. The currently sold Xpression does NOT have this feature. The MultiValve also has a 12AX7 tube which can be selected to add a "tube warmth" to the effects. This is really the only difference between the Replifex and the MultiValve, and why the unit is named what it is.

UTILIZATION

Like all Rocktron products, the interface is top notch. Nothing is overly complicated, and Rocktron actually made the interface of the MultiValve even easier to use than the Infellifex. You no longer have to deal with tons of algorithms but rather the ability to select whichever effect you'd like in every patch. This opens the door to nearly limitless possibilities. The manual is extremely well written, and it'll help guide you through everything in the process to setting up a tone you're looking for. One interesting feature is that the Bypass is now a selectable MIDI feature on this device. That allows you to completely bypass it from the chain via your MIDI board to ensure absolutely no tone suckage. The menus are clearly written so that even without the manual, anybody can easily delve into this unit without any problem.

SOUND QUALITY

This is an interesting point because it's where a lot of people start to split. On one hand, the MultiValve delivers an amazing array of effects to satisfy most guitarists out there. On the other hand, it doesn't sound quite as good as the Intellifex does when it comes to delay, chorus, and reverb. The reason is that the MultiValve was set up to emulate the lo-fi stomp boxes instead of the higher end rack effects. The main feature of the MultiValve, the "tube warmth," really falls flat. It's akin to putting an EQ on your effects to give them some less high end. You can pretty much emulate this with the onboard parametric EQ. I always just bypassed the tube, personally. A big highlight of this unit is actually the rotary function. The rotary algorithm is actually a separate algorithm, and you can actually dial in a fairly realistic rotary tone. For that feature alone, I'd say the MultiValve is worth checking out. The other speaker sims are somewhat flat sounding, so I never used them. Aside from those downsides, the rest of the effects are quite good, especially the parametric EQ. An EQ in the loop can truly do wonders to help get the tone you're looking for, and considering the cost of so many famous parametric EQs out there, this is easily worth the used market price. When set to Pre-HUSH, the bypass is nearly completely transparent.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, the Rocktron MultiValve is a solid device for those looking for an all-in-one stomp box effects unit in a 1U chassis. While it does not compare to the effects of the Intellifex, it was never meant to directly compete with it. Instead, it was meant to run along side the Intellifex to give you the ultimate flexibility. Reliability is second to none as these units would survive a bomb. They've been proven time and time again as reliable effects processors for the working musician. The biggest reason I actually got this device was to MIDI my Mark III and Two Channel Dual Rectifier. This single device was able to MIDI enable both of these amplifiers with a simple TRS cable, as well as provide quality stomp box effects. For anybody who doesn't want to deal with the hassle of rigging a bunch of pedals in a rack, I highly recommend looking into this device.

OVERALL OPINION

I will not write a full review, I would say the main:
multi effect that after I plug a Peavey Rockmaster, then into a Peavey Classic 50/50, then in two Marshall cabinets 1912.
The multi is there to:
-Add the sound effects (delay / chorus / flanger /...) or bypass the signal
Retouch-frequency signal for from the same channel preamp build me 2 sounds totally different: a rhythm and a solo by boosting the middles.
-Control the channels on my preamp to my MIDI Foot gace

This multi could also be handy for stereo effects, the HUSH, but these functions do not help me at the moment.
The sound effects and very good, very clear, practical, easy to adjust, and switch between channels using a stereo jack is really big, I can have everything accessible to toe with a MIDI pedal Rocktron midimate home.

Not much more to say, this is a very multi practice, which takes up little space, easy to use and very flexible. Really any good.
The lamp can be helpful, clean sounds, it adds to the presence of "heat" but I do not use it either.
In addition there is a phantom power supply to power the MIDI pedal, great practice on stage or in repeated!

I am not 10 because I think there are better effects, probably more expensive, but it's great for my use. Multi
