i have a Yamaha cbx-k1xg with 700 something voices and 22 drum kits. Will getting a drum machine such as the dr boss benefit me?

Depends on what you'd like to do...
I'm sure that if you like the sounds of the drum kits, stay with just the keyboard...
Other than that the only other thing is how much "polyphony" you'll use to make your compositions...

If you have 128 notes to play you're good....
If sounds get cut off... you may want to think about a drum machine so it will play some voices...
