1 Using 18i20 Mk1 as ADAT expander and analogue outputs at same time
Hello all. I’m hoping that someone can give me an answer to the following question.

I currently have a Scarlett 18i20 Mk.1 and am looking to expand using the ADAT ports. My plan however is to buy the new Mk.2 version of the 18i20 and use the Mk1 as the ADAT expander. What I want to do is to record 16 channels to Logic AND have all the analogue inputs go to their respective analogue outputs at the same time, so I can connect to a mixer for a potential front of house mix.

I think that this is possible as I can set the Mk1 up using Mix Control, save to the unit to work in standalone and then connect the Mk1 to the Mk2 via ADAT. Like I say, I only think this is possible at the moment as there isn’t a scenario for this in the User Guide and nothing definitive through my searching on the Internet.

Any help would be fantastic.

Thanks very much.
