Update from Logic 7.2 Logic 6.4.3. Installation without problems, you put the CD, and clicked over. The update of the XS key is simple, 35 seconds, watch in hand.

Superbly. It is fluid, it is faster than the old version (especially load times) and resource exploitation seems correct.
What performance? (If quantifiable)
It's going. More plugs than version 6.4 but it is too early to judge. Some instruments (3 instances of Sculpture, Ultrabeat 2 plus a small instance of Reaktor and Kontakt) and some plugs not greedy, all runs well. As for stability is a bit too early to judge, but despite having accidentally unplugged my sound card in the middle of reading, the software did not crash and went all alone on the internal sound card. Stunning! I reconnect the bazaar, Logic is my intention to board on the external card, all without stop reading ... It leaves thinker!
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 3 days. Honestly, I find the price a little abused (300 euros, especially since I bought version 6 a month before the release of 7 and no free upgrade from Apple). Logic after love, when we love we do not count ^ ^
Otherwise, I find the interface much nicer although in the same vein, the new instruments are nice, with a little more for Ultrabeat. Very intuitive, and rather nice to use.
I have not tried one before buying it, I'm a fan of logic a faithful lover.
This choice I would do again in a heartbeat, this software is just my favorite: a little complicated at first glance, but once you get used everything goes very fast.
In short, to all users of Logic 6 Mac still reluctant or go for it! This upgrade is well worth the time.
