Biggest Ever Audio Mixing Contest is ON!
I do not recommend purchasing X1 now though because X2 is out and it has a very good amp simulator in it that I love. If you are thinking of getting X2, look into purchasing or upgrading to X2 so you can experience some of the Sonar Amps and new features and effects.
I have not been using X2 very long, but I have been using CakeWalk for a long time. This is the first time that I have even heard of X2 from SONAR so I was very curious as to what new features they have added from the original CakeWalk Sonar. The main thing they added with this version is some new stuff to help with editing, mixing, and masterin...
This is one of the best production and sequencing software programs that you can use. If you are a beginner I recommend CakeWalk because it is an easy platform to understand sequencing and producing music. The interface is by far the best quality that the program has to offer, it is easy to navigate through and any function that you want to achi...
Sonar 7 is very affordable, but don’t let that be the reason that you purchase it. I suggest downloading a trial version of the software to see if its something that you could see your self working with for a while. But for the money spent and the quality of program it is, I love it. For this small investment and the interface you can beat that ...
Overall, I would recommend Cakewalk's Sonar X1 (Producer Edition) to any home or professional studio that works exclusively in the PC operating systems. This may be a rarity in many higher end studios, which like to work in Mac's, but it is a great DAW nonetheless.
In the end, if you already like Sonar, then you are going to have a blast with X1, if you do not, this may convert you, but many of the complications are still there. Again, with all digital audio workstations, it is a matter of preference, but it is especially so with X1.
In the end, SONAR is a very comprehensive suite that one really cannot know from a review whether it suits them or not. The truth is, I cannot really give any input on how this program flows, and you must find the program that works the best for you.
Overall I used it for a bout a year and thought it was a great music creation software and I don’t regret my decision when purchasing it, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The interface is pretty good and very well put together everything is very easy and accessible. I haven’t tried any other cakewalk productions before this one so this one open...
I first used Cakewalk Sonar 4 Studio Edition about four years ago or so. Like I said before, I got it so I could shoot it out with a few other digital audio workstations, including Pro Tools and Cubase. While I decided that this was my least favorite of the three, it is still a powerful piece of software that can do most of what any other digita...
I got Cakewalk Guitar Tracks about nine years ago and have since stopped using it because I have upgraded. For the time, this worked fine for me to record a few tracks and use some effects for my guitar, but looking back there are a lot of sequencers out there that are better, including Pro Tools, Cubase & Logic. The price of this was what drove...
