The Feeltune Rhizome SXE is a production workstation that you can use with your VST plug ins. It has 32 knobs on it and they are all well made. There are also 16 velocity sensitive pads, the pads are not as big as I would like them to be but they are still of good quality and have a nice feel to them. The Feeltune Rhizome SXE is like its own computer, it has a i5 processor and quad core system. The cost of the Feeltune Rhizome SXE is 3000 dollars which may seem like a lot at first. But if you are a DJ you will really appreciate the things you can do with the Feeltune Rhizome SXE.

UTILIZATION

The Feeltune Rhizome SXE is easy to set up, but it does take a long time to get use to using it and understand all of the functions. I would not use this in a live set until you are fully comfortable with all of the functions and understand everything you need to know how to do on it. The learning curve is the only thing that threw me off with the Feeltune Rhizome SXE. I just was not ready to learn a whole new system.

SOUNDS

The Feeltune Rhizome SXE is great with Ableton Live, Logic, and even a few other DAW programs that we all use a lot. You can use VST’s with it and it will run everything really fast. All effects and everything you do will be in real time just like it would be on a computer.

OVERALL OPINION

This unit is very expensive and needs to be handled with care; on mistake and you are throwing 3 thousand dollars down the whole. I am still in the process of understanding this unit and it will take me some time before I am 100 percent comfortable with it. I have only had it for a month and I saved up a lot of money for it so I want to take my time to understand it before I take it to a live stage.
