Overall I believe this is a top notch amp that any serious player should have the opportunity to own or at least try out. I sold mine in a rash spur of "gear flipper mode" or "Gear Acquisition Syndrome" right before they discontinued and regretted it for a long time. The prices these go for now-a-days are really worth it and hold up to more mode...
The Mesa Mark III amplifier may not be the most popular amp of the line, but is extremely good value with considering the versatility available. The going price for these on the used market is around $700. If you need a comparable feature set but desire updated aesthetics and sound quality-- you might look at picking up a Stiletto Ace for a mere...
I enjoyed the Electra Dyne immensely, but I found it to be a strange offering. The cleans are not quite as rich as on other Boogies and the dark voicing of the preamp may seem sterile to some. Without boosting the amp, it is not capable of fluid leads or high gain riffage. However, the amp does maintain great clarity at all volumes and would exc...
Great amp. Easily a all in one solution for a gigging musician. With a more than passable clean and mid gain sound available, the amp competes with other mid-market channel switchers. Used prices are still fairly strong with most observed around the $1500 price point. I highly recommend this amp to anyone who had ill feelings about the Rectifier...
The Rectifier series has become a staple in the hard rock and metal communities. It is a very simple amplifier and it excels greatly in the area it was designed for. With a little help from pedals, the midgain and clean sounds are passable, but on their own are less than favorable. These amps have been recently replaced with a new multi-watt mod...
It's hard to find a 3 channel amp with this sort of excitement factor-- especially at a price point below 2 grand. The RA-100 fills a gap between the fluid feel of the mark series amps and the sheer punchiness of the rectifier series. I owned both to balance each other out but the RA can stand on it's own and doesn't leave me longing for anythin...
Overall, I love the amp. It's very versatile for a Rectifier, but it's still a Rectifier. It's not going to be your amp for classic rock, but it can do that if you want. If you buy a Dual Rec, you are looking for that iconic sound. All of the extra modes and setting are just icing on the cake. I bought it for it's Recto aggression, and that's wh...
Overall I'm super happy with this amp, totally worth the 6 year wait. I've bought, sold, and traded gear for quite a few years always trying out new things hoping to find the one thing that's perfect. I may have found that. Since I bought it I've lost almost all desire to even try different amps. It just does everything I wanted, but better,...
My favorite part about this amp is hands down the clean channel. The attenuator works nicely too, so that's a real plus. At the end of the day, this is basically a dual rectifier with el34's and a good clean channel. It's a better value too. I think Mesa is onto something with this multi soak attenuation stuff. It seems to be better than th...
I'm getting addicted to this little 10-25 watt amps that every company seems to be putting out. It's great that mesa got on board. This is a well constructed amp. The FX loop is good. Everything is top notch. I think the price is about right considering what you get. This is pretty much a low wattage single rectifier.
