Everything has already been said (see other reviews). For my part I Japonnaise version (the one with sushi in)

One could blame him many things, but putting things in their contexts (it dates from the mid 80's that chorus).

Remember to plug in 12V to maximize (in sour 9V, full and warm at 12)

UTILIZATION

Very difficult! You turn and buttons is pressed and it works! Nah joking aside the right button can be a bit strange to start to tame it's still a Boss so here goes!

SOUND QUALITY

Superb chorus and vintage hot! I did unfortunately never tested in stereo (but I will on occasion), but the mono effect is already beautiful! I use it in the loop of my amp with a slight crunch, and the sound was instantly Police!

I just put a small damper on the (slight but noticeable) decrease in level when it is engaged. Me using a parallel loop set at 20-30% I do not feel it, but it can be embarrassing for some!

OVERALL OPINION

It's been a little over a year since I have it, bought a secondhand pittance (I needed a chorus for my portion of rack pedalboard, and I did not want to retry the Boss CH1 adventure that m 'was highly disappointed). I wanted to give another chance to Boss (that's the only boss remaining in my rig) and I came across it by chance. And I think now she will follow me for quite a long way. Perhaps they will she be replaced by an EC-2 japan, which seems to sound better (less attenuation of high frequencies, less loss level, buffer better), but I say seems because I 've never tested in real life next to my EC-3.

A great choice for someone looking for a warm and subtle chorus (and much better in my opinion that modern Boss Chorus).
