    Will keep it forever

Hughes & Kettner Attax Club ReverbPublished on 03/15/21 at 01:39
Basically I was fed up with lamp amps, having to play at high volume, the maintenance, the prices, and the overall "elitist aspect" of the thing. I play garage rock, I need TWANG, DIRT and VERB. So after some research I bought this amp second hand and absolutely love the way it sounds. It's really easy to use, powerfull enough for a rehearsal or a small gig. It takes overdrive and effects pedals in general pretty nicely. I don't really use the "LEAD" channel, but it can get reaaaallly heavy. All in all, I will never sell this one, it just does the job perfectly without the hassles of a lamp amp.

65 watt transistors, equalization on three points, with distortion voicing system for digging or enhance the mids (absolutely brilliant), clean channel, master volume and reverb famous which is amplified by the fact that the amp is almost completely closed behind. Hence the best resonance medium volume. And of course the effects loop that goes. The HP 12-inch wonders.

    UTILIZATION

Super simple and extremely rewarding, this amp is a fucking revelation to me. UTILIZATION

Super simple and extremely rewarding, this amp is a fucking revelation to me. Not necessarily a fan of tube sound, pissed off by having to play loud and high performance for a decent sound at all lights, my exploration led me on the path of transistors with a kind of simulation lamps, style attax at H & K or with his marshall Valvestate. The side headphone jack, effects loop and versatility of sounds I immediately liked.

    SOUNDS

That's why I think it is the best value for money today. It goes from clean to super heavy very heavy with a few strokes of knobs. And as long as we have a good Gratounette while there, it sends severe. Pushed halfway to three quarts, the sound is round, full, warm and crunch it. The reverb has not made a fantastic and is a bit long, hollow to me. The distortion sweeps everything. I've always loved to be able to go from a heavy rock to reach the grosgros specific heavy metal, just using EQ, voicing and volume. In rehearsals, no need to lug all the gear, everything was done with. I covered and comfortable drummer who sprinkles as an octopus has the double and the volumes.

    OVERALL OPINION

After bringing my Valvestate 8080 end of life, and to move on to something more sharp I left on attax series. In Hughes and Kettner amps are made sacred. The attax80 had taped me, the demo made by the seller had completed the urge to go home. But this is by browsing the boncoin that I found this nugget for 150 EUROD totally new. I tried dernierd marshall dfx, the line 6 spider 4 of the vypyr peavey, vox, and I never found it his trademark. Completely in hand, the better and sometimes unfortunately, the H & K are really bluffing. I recently tested the head TubeMeister that blew me away, but I am on the lookout to find me head vortex 100w or better, the warp, which are those who sold me the most dream. In any case, if you find a club reverb in the 100-150 euros depending on the state, you throw it. You will have a pjr amp brawny, well finished and well equipped sound level. In short, the best in my amp to start or not to take the lead.

Transistor amp that sounds like a small lamp
Power around 40Watts in my opinion.
Between 6.35 and only one effect: reverb.
Nothing to say, that is simple efficace.Il there is not much but use it and does it well.

    UTILIZATION

Config, could not be more simple
    cannal a clear ringing clear
cannal a saturated, or the gain is passed the big crunch is saturated.
Manuel? .. or did you put the trowel?

    SOUNDS

This amp does not take itself for another, he is content to meet the guitar (335, LP or stratum for me) the clear cannal can make beautiful arpges, reggeau rhythm of ska and even a bit of dub in pushing the reverb a background ...

In saturated there are many sharp crunch and if you push the gain we go fast on the Led Zep or Lenny Kravitz. With half the Larsen case is well controlled and musical .... mmmm, I love.
Deplus, this amp (closed still sounds very well in the middle of a group that said, I think the HP is for nothing.
Again, no chipottage with this amp, it has sound and is well s'ntend.

    OVERALL OPINION

We use this amp in a studio to repeat, group 2 to 3 per day for 10 years.
It is a beefy amp, practice as simple, powerful enough to repeat.
I have tried many, many, many amps for 30 years I do the guitar ... it affected me. This is the BEST H & K, that is the best in its category (less than 40W transistor combo 200)
Shame, it seems they do not make more ... too much my son?

    65 w
    Transistor

    UTILIZATION

I do not use most is my second too

    SOUNDS

    H & K
The first was a 80 Attax

its more blues than Attax 80
    great for the transistor
it only lacks qqs lamps, unfortunately
his view without his lamp, I think it would be "perfect"

Dc super sound, but lack even qd heat and grain crunch typical lamp

    OVERALL OPINION

I wanted made especially two corrigenda
compared to the 65W power that does well, a bit difficult to push a "background" keeping a good sound because it is almost closed and its been a little "cage" a very high volume.
But in him sticking a baffle Extra is verais he has about 65w and 40w not, as I read.

Also pr grinder price, I think I remember it was € 495 new, I personally bought secondhand € 350 in paris, c and not more expensive over there;)

Dc less than 200 € with a 12 inch celestion and error is made in germany.
