Winter NAMM 2012 News
It was a good first live amp and I did keep it for a few years until I eventually sold it. It never went down on me and for the price was the best and loudest I could afford at the time. I play a bit more seriously now. If I were in the market for a similar sized combo, I'd probably go after some kind of Mesa Boogie 2x12.
These amplifiers have been discontinued for a while but you can certainly find them in the used sections of many classifieds. They're pretty easily to be found and if you find a good one then you're probably going to want to hang on to it. These amplifiers were only made for certain limited amount time so they could be collectors items a...
I've had my Marshall MG10 CD for a few years and have come to only use it when I have to, and use it with the clean signal only. It is a usable amp, but not great sounding by any means. Fender makes great amps and guitars, but this is one of the worst sounding marshall amps I have used. While it is cheap, to me its not worth the price as you can...
Since there's plenty of people for whom really rocking out is absolutely essential, I think that this amp could really catch on with the hard rock/metal/hardcore crowd. It's getting more and more expensive as its reputation grows, so I think that if you can't find one used right away, grab a new one while they aren't too expensive. Peavey is usu...
I would not recommend this amplifier to anyone because of hundred watts of power for a terrible selling amplifier and it simply just does not do it for me. If you need a good practice amp then I suggest going with something it's around 15 to 20 W of power. That is enough suitable volume for someone is playing in the bedroom/ garage or in...
I've had my VS1006 for about six years. It is my # 1 amp and I use it both in the studio and on the stage. I got a great price on mine used, but even the median price for these used is reasonable. These amps sound great and are built to last. I love my VS1006 and it will continue to be my go to guitar amp for as long as it will last!
The amp is pretty easy to use and setup. It's pretty much ready to go, just plug it in. The sounds aren't too difficult to get out of it at all. The manual explains how to use everything pretty well, though if you aren't used to using effects loops you probably won't get what the effects loops are all about.
The big advantage over a tube amp is you do not have to crank the volume up on this amp to get the tone you want. To take full advantage of this amp you need to get one of the FBV foot pedals, Also, there is only 1 input jack and 1 input channel and you cannot plug in an extra speaker cabinet, either. The headphone jack doubles as a DI output f...
At new these amps come in at around $119 which in my opinion is an absolute steal of a price for what you get. You get a two channel amp that sounds superb for being a solid state amp and the price is just to hard to pass up. I would recommended this to anyone looking to buy an entry level Marshall amp and doesn't want to ...
I really don't like this amp, simple as that. They're unreliable, have a cheap set of parts, don't sound good at all regardless of how the amp is set, and are obscenely overpriced. They simply aren't even worth a look... there are so many better amps out there that make this seem like a $1500 doorstop. Don't bother, seriously.
