UTILIZATION

OVERALL OPINION

Very complete connectivity The only downside being the absence of a switch on / off.
Everything else is very well thought out, despite the size of the product (4 switches anyway).
The hull is of good quality plastic.
The transformer is supplied with large, therefore provide a good cover type bracket for mobile use.
All buttons are relatively accessible, the large dial is a real plus in terms of saving time.
Note the presence of cate SD slot to save even more things and to perform firmware updates.

UTILIZATION

As usual, Line 6 does not come only a looper but a Swiss Army knife.
The looper is indeed a boarding pod integrated with all the modeling amps that go with it .... no surprise is the Line 6 and it's heavy, it's like to have a pod xt "light" in the hands.
Being a regular at the brand, I did not have to read the manual to explore the beast.
Editing sounds really poses no problem, and access to samples and recording is intended so easy, everything is controlled with foot qqs settings in advance (like disable the automatic selection of sounds when changing song ).
The pedal can also be configured in different ways and may for example be used only multi effects, it says a switch over to increment the program sounds would have been welcome, it will be necessary to bend down and pick his sound with his girl on the mimine selector to disappoint .... SOUND QUALITY

This is the Line 6 sounds are the same as the series spiderIII, it's very very good if you take the time to tweak the knobs a little and as often in Line6, not to push the gain in depth (beyond 13h) to maintain a clean and precise.
Songs and samples are enregstrés an incredible quality, everything was done by professionals in the studio .... we are very far from the drum machines integrated with rotten boss pedals.
I wanted to use this only as a looper pedal and more without going through an effects loop like any other pedal (thank you Line 6) but the whole rhythm section is top notch .... recorded all styles are present, we can only keep the battery if you want ........ we really feel like going to play with ..... zicos tOP
As for the loops, a small pedal stroke to record .. and tat's it .... so easy, it is obviously stacked and then delete the last taken a real looper, the stack of a dozen tracks do not appear to alter the sound, unlike some other pedals.
Small problem, the absence of automatic release of the record to the first note played (boss does), then it will be clear with his foot but that does not pose too many problems with a little practice.
In sound modeling, this will obviously depend on the type of amplifier which is connected to the toy, a Valvestate 80, the sound is nikel but when I plug in my head SpiderIII connected to a 4 * 12, it is more difficult to find a neutral sound ... so I use a Twang Red on my head and after a small adjustment of equalizer is nikel.

What else ..... it is above all a great tool, a compact course ........ but oh so gratifying.
Line 6 surprises us yet again, there is often very very good and sometimes very poor (microspider. spiderIII .. 15), but now it's heavy.
Go for a shop to test it and you will pass.
I had a Boss RC20 to home ......... NOTHING TO DO in terms of simplicity and efficiency.
All songs are varied and can work on different rhythms and solos to send through all possible modes and ranges, many bluesy accompaniment allow flights myxolidiennes and work on that mail order harmonic minor scale.
I allowed myself without any difficulty to import sequences that I programmed on my micro br.
The icing on the cake, can connect and play two instruments at the same time we can assign such a low entry with an auxiliary bass amp modeling and then a keyboard or something else, in short, all configurations are possible and ring the fire god.
I have not tried the mic input.
I am a teacher and I think this little toy will accompany me in my classes to make them even more alive, for the use stage .... why not?

UTILIZATION

Like all products line6 use is simple, a little tour of the manual is still necessary to understand some features subtle and very interesting.

at first glance it lacks features at the base but in fact the 4th switch is used to change the function of the other 3 so you can change the effect being to change the input used games ... bcp so short of options.

Editing effects is simply turning a few pots and you can save 36.

SOUND QUALITY

The quality of the amp emulations are very honest c line6, so for the big sound ca is always a bad area but good old metal versatilté saw the sounds and the number of possibilities we're not going to complain.

on the other hand when it comes to using my old metal zone or my vox brit boost over a big problem arises, the bypass is not a true bypass or to big problems of difference in volume between presets the beast and the bypass, for against the use of a whawha no problem fortunately. This bypass is the only downside of this pedal because I really like the sound of my distos "canned".

I almost forgot to mention the drum presets, they're great its not nintendo but the "real" drums recorded in the studio, the available styles are varied. Your JM4 reveals himself to be a very powerful musical notepad since you can save what is recorded, no more riffs forgotten, if I said that the more you can encode. Wav and transfer it to SD card not life grand?

OVERALL OPINION

A great product, easy to use and powerful I wanted to buy in DigiTech JamMan looper but after trying this JM4 my heart capsized.

The ability to choose which signal is recorded is pretty great because it allows a clarinetist friend to enjoy the beast on the same stage with a little organization.

I recommend this purchase any guitarist or other instrumentalist looking for a sequencer performing for stage and home.

O "classic", except that the connection is via PC 2GB SD card and not USB cable.
Aluminum hull robust push-buttons to shoot, in pots plastoc correct screen visible.
It's beautiful, a shining, flashes when a button, a brief feels the trick well.

UTILIZATION

Quick, clear with a manual (especially if you speak franais).
Looper: loops are done, they Ampil, we improvise on it. With a microphone and / or instrument supplmentaire (anything that plug) can enhance its original loops fawn.
Rptiteur: full of jam available to improvise. And it's live, not digital!
You can also import your own jam. Wav format (44100Hz, 16 bit, mono); convert a lot of guitar backing track and make up for any guitar hero with his arm casss group.
Looper function remains active on playing jam; it - afraid to say that the loop part of a song we INTERESTED.
Amp simulator: a can also be used as multi pedals (why not?). The modulation effects are convincing and the variation on modalizations wide enough.
The default port USB does not impede me: my PC and my JM4 do not live in the same pice ... If the connection only USB silent, I'll have to unplug my PC every time

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is really good.
I scratched for 20 years, frankly, with modlisations we do today, the sound is ending for qute ends.
As long as you do not have a shovel between the legs 3 chords, you can leave the overdrive or distorted super warm up the cord and clear the rounder than chrystalin.
Play with the slecteur the scratches, the Tone pots of earnings, the proposed modules ... The range of sound is really wide (there's see how many factory presets available in the machine).
I play it with a JVM Bdarieux of 1000 and a headphone on the face for not rveiller kids.

OVERALL OPINION

I found in a German eBay for 280 euros (livr. Ms. nine in France (about 310 euros) worth it.
If like me you have no talent, no friends, no pets and no domstique drummer, get this absolutely bote that will change your guitar and you take your fingers and ears to one good time!

Possibility for example to copy songs. Wav on the SD card and play them on the JM4 ... even better: they can "import" format JM4 (from JM himself) and as a result can change the tempo and key (as on the 100 songs to prerecorded loops and jam): amazing!

Used for 6 months

Much better in every way that rc20xl (I had) and the JamMan (which I had too)

Looper and amp simulator

Significantly smaller than the RC 50.

No on / off button.

UTILIZATION

The handling is intuitive, especially when you have used another looper.

The manual (in French) is clear and short. Note the version of "advance" of the manual in English only at the site of line 6.

Looper function is very simple.
The amp simulator is also intuitive, as all other Line 6 products.

Nice to change the function of the pedals, but it quickly becomes sport to change its pRSET, while the grant overdub.

SOUND QUALITY

I like the sound, it's line 6. Not a ton of effects but is still good even customize.

I use it mostly with my Lag Roxanne Standard.

Ct loops, both drums and songs, recorded the pRSET are really terrible ... This changes accompanying the RC50 that I used before.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it extensively for just 1 month. Bought new 250 euros on ebay in Germany, including postage.

I sold my RC50 that I used for 3 years, mostly to work alone on grids rock, jazz and blues.

The JM4 is much more my need, with soundtracks and multi ralistes Intgr effect.

Excellent quality / price.

A amlioration possible that Line 6 continues to offer band sounds and drum loops, keeping in mind that no one plays the rock guitar (but hey, I ' I made my choice knowingly!)

I sell mine, not because I do not want it but because I need money to buy a Pod Studio KB37 ... what you notice are uses completely different ... hence the great regret ... but I do not know what else to sell to recover funds without farting my life budgets.

The Line 6 JM4 is a loop and delay foot pedal that is designed for use with any electronic instrument, and also has the capability to be used with a microphone.  Since the pedal has an XLR input for a microphone you can use it for singing and do some pretty awesome overall.  In addition to the XLR input, it also has a variety of 1/4 inch connections for inputs and outputs.  It is a digital pedal that isn't rackable because it is a foot pedal.

UTILIZATION

Using the Line 6 JM4 for its basic features isn't too hard at all, but diving deeper will take some time simply because there is so much that you can do with this pedal.  For starters, you have the parameters to control your tone including knobs for amp modeling, drive, bass, mid, treble, as well as effects like chorus, flanger, phaser, and tremolo and different types of delays like tape echo and sweep echo, which are two of my favorite modes found on the Line 6 DL4 delay pedal.  In addition to these tone parameters, you then have all of the controls for recording and looping your sounds, which are in digital form and can take some time to understand everything that it going on, but is fairly simply to do basic recording and looping.  The manual is helpful and is definitely worth having around if you are trying to learn everything about this pedal.


SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Line 6 JM4 is pretty good overall.  While it does sound good in terms of the recording and the playback as it won't color the tone too much other than how you set the parameters, the effects sounds like they are digitally processed, which of course they are.  They aren't all that realistic, so I tend not to use them that much because I have other pedals that I can use if I want other effects, so I really only use this pedal for looping, recording, and storing.


OVERALL OPINION

If you are someone who loves to loop things and play around by playing over things you have prerecorded, this pedal is for you.  The price is reasonable as it is about the same price of the other pedals in this line.  While you get a taste of the looper on the DL4, this pedal has infinitely more capabilities in terms of the time that you can record and the amount of information that you can store.  I love having the capability to record all of my ideas and play off of them within a single pedal as I find it great for coming up with ideas.  While there are a bunch of similar types of pedals out there, the Line 6 JM4 is put together well and I would definitely recommend checking it out along with some of the other loopers out there on the market like the ones made by Digitech and Boss.
