- The Loar Unveils the LH-600 Archtop Guitar
- Modeled after American designs from the early 20th century, The Loar's LH-600 archtop guitar is hand-carved and features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
-
The Loar Hand-Carved Archtop (LH-600) is a replica of the original archtop acoustic guitars from the 1920's. It is hand-carved from graduated spruce, and hand-carved back and sides made from solid maple.
The new black gloss finish is hand-rubbed with nitrocellulose lacquer, supposedly for superior acoustic projection. The LH-600 is also outfitted with a one-piece mahogany neck, Gotoh tuners and a compensated adjustable ebony bridge. The body and ebony fretboard are bound with an ivory colored binding to balance the sleek look of the black finish with traditional vintage style, The Loar says.
