Tremolo pedal analog non rack.

In fact it is the same pedal as the Harley Benton Vintage Tremolo (it has the same head elsewhere).

True Bypass for the purists!

DC 9V, it eats it seems 7mA, nothing.

Solid case, but I think the switch is soldered to the circuit. It does on some pedals JOYO (well made by Biyang Biyang therefore, Harley Benton etc ...) as reverb pedal and overdrive but I do not know if this is the case on the tremolo.

So it weakens the pedal a little. But hey, we do not have fun to support constantly on a tremolo as build on an overdrive anyway. But here! So no 10

UTILIZATION

As Harley Benton Vintage Tremolo.

Two knob: Intensity: Sets the intensity of the effect and its influence on the initial sound.
Rate: Sets the distance between the oscillations of the tremolo. Wholesale is very slow to very fast.

It could not be clearer.

There would be two trimpots: An intensity and another volume, but they require to access by removing the foot completely. So it is more of a modification of the manufacturer's intention as to the traficouiller.

So we regret the lack of a volume knob and a knob to adjust the waveform tremolo. But that's good!

Oh yes! No tap tempo! But good for 30 € you can not have everything either! So I do not begrudge him that!

SOUND QUALITY

This is my first tremolo that I buy, but I've tried others before curiosity.

Not having a huge need tremolo, I use my account for my warm clean sound, make her look "vintage" (so to speak) and jerky parts of my piece on overdrive.

So nothing super sophisticated. If you want it, then you should surely this tremolo.

Personally it is quite up to my expectations! It warms as it takes my clean sound and allows jerky parts of overdrive.

However, the waveform is rather soft, which means, you can not make an extremely choppy tremolo. You can reach the style tremolo as Boulevard Of Broken Dreams by Green Day (reference easy to understand) but it will not be as jerky as that.

We therefore can not make tremolos square (thus wave "square" shape, ultra choppy as when the volume off and on again the volume) or a tremor in triangular shape (form more sophisticated than the square rhythmically).

Especially since there is no tap tempo, so everything is done by hand and ear, which may annoy some.

Personally for chopper tempo, I put the background intensity and listen good pace and snare drummer. Either I hold when the volume goes up on the snare to give a standard effect. Either I hold precisely when the volume down on the snare to give a more rhythmically interesting indeed!

So it is a very simple tremolo, may be too simple for some.

However, the sound quality is very good I think! It warms my sound as it should be!

BUT BUT BUT: The problem:

A LIGHT VOLUME BOOST or a boost in the low mids is felt. It is very light when I play at home. But for recording (guitar -> pedalboard ---> Mixer ---> Amp Sim) the boost becomes quite annoying volume boost. It feels very, very well at least!
So if you want the tremolo to a record without going through an amp (like the diagram shown above) I think you need to go see the trimpot volume if you're not afraid to disassemble the pedal and the lower (because it is set at its maximum). Otherwise steer you to other things.

I use a Gibson Les Pauls Studio Faded, therefore, already a well balanced low mids, so maybe with a Stratocaster or Telecaster, it will not be as obvious or even an asset roundness. I would have to test it on a single coil. Soon ...

Otherwise I love this pedal. I am unable to turn it off when I play cleans! (Except for the funk and then the tremolo does not serve me).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a short time but quickly tested in all possible conditions:

For now tested:

- A game at home, in my pedalboard, and outside: She's doing great, adds a little boost in the low mids and volume but I really like. I think it can really be beneficial on a single coil guitar lacks a bit of roundness!

- When recording: Boost annoying volume anyway. But the sound is still good otherwise.

- In 15 days I test it live! I repasserais to explain it all (if the sound is as good at high volume, the boost turns really annoying when not etc ...).

So for about 30 € (sometimes less, sometimes more depending on shipping), I'm satisfied.

For tremolos not too expensive it is rare. Because as I intend to use it occasionally, I do not find rational to spend more than 40 € in a tremolo.

And it turns out tremolo nickel is quite to my needs. As said before, the color it brings to my sound is that clean, I can not do without.
In overdrive, the effect is effective and makes me discover new horizons.

Coupled with my chorus, it gives a Vibe and coupled to a delay and my chorus, it really gives a great sound, at least, that's what they told me and what I think.

We must find the right balance: My cleans are slightly weaker in volume like this: For arpeggios or agreements hendrixiens, I put the tremolo to give them curves and a slight boost. For the funk, I remove the tremolo, and light boost the low mids goes and thus gives the impression that my clean is weaker and allows me to hit harder funk agreements.

The balance for me nickel. The color that brings to my tremolo sound suits me even more (it was a pleasant surprise My cleans are beautiful and round with him).

But certainly tested before buying because: the waveform may not be suitable if you are looking for jerky!

But if you are looking for velvety soft and subtle but now when he wants to, then you should like!

Wala!
