Epiphone Noel Gallagher Supernova

I bought this in Hong Kong for less than $3000hkd which I thought was a very good price. I wasn't really planning to buy a semi-hollow bodied guitar but it sounded really good and the price was good.

The paintjob (Union Jack) is awesome and it looks like it'll last for a long time. The pickups are alright and it sounds good clean or dirty. I can get a very nice classic rock sound with some overdrive.
Feedback isn't a big issue, which is good.

It doesn't stay in tune very well and the body is a bit big.

ES 335 style, 2 tones, 2 volumes, toggle switch. It is Oasis' siganture model and it has he guitarist's name on the pickguard but I took it off. It looks better without the pickguard. There's imperfections of paintjob but they are pretty minor. The inlays on the fretboard aren't 100% perfect but as long as it doesn't stick out/ fall off it's not much of an issue to me.
The input jack is a bit loose, like most lower end guitars.
Overall, it's acceptable.

The guitar's good valued and it sounds good for most of the styles I play- jazz, blues, rock and some metal <-which doesn't sound very good with this.

Korea, round handle, but nice, just handle .... very balanced frequency serious .... good balance / treble .... finish korean ... is not great but it could be worse (china)!!!!!

very fat .... in serious mic I feel like a fighter .... vrombie it, it rolls .... its a very balanced choices ... I do not see the point to change the pickups, so buy a gibson! here is a link to live, you have to judge!

UTILIZATION

the handle is typical of half body Epiphone. I own several. the guitar is not too heavy and pretty well balanced. If you like half cash will be appreciated that type of comfort but for the amateur lightweight guitar with great access to acute and super playability abstain. This is not done to dalleur.

SOUNDS

This guitar suits me perfectly. Sound very rock'n'roll and despite what one might believe that cash level distortion very well if you like her fat (which I love). Level clear sound, the sound is very bluesy and little cruncher quickly. Lover of his crystalline go your way.
For my part I play in orange and marshall and the guitar sounds of hell in a spirit rock and roll.
Note that the beast also sounds great on fender especially for its clear. fat sound of the guitar is well balanced with the snap of fender (hot rod for me)
For me this is a fairly versatile guitar suitable for rock, pop rock, blues, stoner, grunge ...
For my part, the addition of new micro is needed. Indeed, given the quality of finish and violin deserves micro gibson. This was done on the Epiphone Nick Valensi why not on the supernova?
Personally I think putting two classic 57 and classic 57 classic and 57 +. I own a Epiphone BBKing on which I set up two classic 57 and it was well worth it. The guitar comes into its own.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the guitar recently, but it's a while since I use a half box to play rock and I've never been disappointed. I recently tested a Gretsch Electromatic and I much prefer the epiphone epiphone even with his microphone.
What I like most about this guitar is its look.
His side is pretty good but it could be excellent with micro gibson.

UTILIZATION

The use, it&#39;s where I was most amazed, because I thought that a semi-hollow that had to be heavy, very ergonomic etc ... but what a fu my surprise when the baby in your hands! when playing&#39;m sitting in front of his amp my faith is not unpleasant at all and quickly get there!
Access to acute is pretty good, it&#39;s not a GS but it is not in any way impeded or stop the descent out of a solo or small riff in the treble.
In short hand playing comfort nothing whatsoever fishing form the handle, the ES-335 which it takes the form was very well studied ..

Good music, I play a little bit of everything, the lovely walk, blues, pop-rock, rock a little more pechus and even some very heavy rock and greasy without forgetting some stuff Heavy .. . (to clarify: Muse, clapton, Smashin &#39;pupmkins, a little maiden AC-DC, The Black&#39 This guitar can pretty much do not sound like the Telecaster guitar for Cantat or Heavy Metal or Ibanez type or BC-Rich. But it still send the heavy if you put what is behind. For my part, I have on hand 2 amp DSL 401 all-tube Marshall and Fender Deluxe Hot Road (For the uneducated while the 40W lamps.) And I can almost play all styles thanks to that.
His side, that&#39;s where I think this guitar stands out from the lot, I tested a bunch of guitar before I decide for this one and believe me, find such versatility is rare (I do not Throw away stones I have not played all the guitars in the world either)

Sounds very good clean sound, well coated but not too bright that it plays nice walk with the neck pickup (see the two in parallel) or the bridge pickup for a very typical to the Telephone SG (playing Cinderella a regal, we believe it)
The sound has not the rich harmonic of a stratocaster but this is not what we asked half a box ...
short the clear sound quality is good especially if you play on an amp with good clean type Hot road.J forget the blues, it depends for example on the Cream you can play it mute the strings and then the abbaissant tone to 0 but it is a matter of taste.

My friends, it is sent home wickedly wicked & co. OVERALL OPINION

To summarize what is said above, I use this guitar for about 6 months, I do not regret my purchase at all, this guitar is very well suited to the style of music I play and the sound of a rich and a versatile foolproof. Next look, you love it or hate half box, I did not really, but after hearing the sound, and spent several hours playing with, I changed my mind if I had the guts j &#39;would have taken the model with the Union Jack British flag on it but I told myself that if I played the round to pay me an ES 335 that would be easier to sell the model blue, the color is not as " flashes "on the photo, blue turquoise, but is certainly bleak. I have not gone wrong in the music stores esseyant a bit of everything and I do not regret my choice. At that price and more: € 500 I did not expect this (Stratum &#39;signature clapton COST € 1800 for comparison) this guitar is certainly not a grain as an inimitable TV 52&#39;mais is much more versatile anyway.
I think with the experience, I would buy the Union-jack ^ ^ but hey the supernova remains a good investment and nothing to regret! my overall score between 8 and 9 because, in my opinion, it lacks a bit of finishing but it&#39;s not a Gibson ... It lacks the little something while being a great guitar for very good quality

Edit 06/07/2010: I use this guitar for the past 5 / 6 years ... No complaints, a real pleasure today ... AC / DC Muse through the Smashing Pumpkins .... She knows everything. Sustain and roundness ... ... grrrrrrrrr saturation to get angry with your neighbors.
In a Hot Road or a JCM2000 is a treat. For a guitar that was worth € 500 new, I do not regret my choice today.
