«  Peerless Renaissance custom "The revelation »

Published on 03/24/11 at 18:25
Made in South Korea by a company not producing nearly as archtop models of very good quality.
The renaissance is a highly successful replica of a Gibson es 330 (completely hollow body).

I recently custom model in solid .. I ordered in England because there were very few interesting offers in France .. the faux brown leather holster is not bad all ..
Epiphone humbucker type pickups (I dreaded still wondering if the demonstrations of Renaissance views on the net were made once the pickups replaced with high-end ...)
for more technical details on this guitar jazz there is enough information on the internet ..

UTILIZATION

Channel type epiphone sheraton, not too thick whatever the profile slim tapper "Gibson looks better on me ... and the varnish does not jinx .. all matches go well, the string action on the handle is set very low frieze and without recent (less than 1.2mm at 12th fret) ..
Access to the treble is a bit more laborious compared to a Gibson ES sleeve. Peerless in the neck is a little deeper in the body of the guitar ..
The tuners seem a little light hold tuning very well and after several insistent bend well, amazing .. I would not change it already is ..

Once connected, you understand why it resonated sound already so good, and which sustain the pickups .. doing very well and restore the soft, woody jazz sound I'm looking on the net .. demonstrations are conducted without " faking. ".. Violin making of this guitar is excellent .. moreover it is lighter than a stratocaster ..

SOUNDS

The micro acute invite you to blues and rock, without any problems humbuckers are very good ..
neck pickup for jazz is a treat .. she has this patch if Jazzy .. especially gentle roundness, and long held notes
Versatility guaranteed ...

I play on an amp lamp studiotone Koch, a little reverb, a disto Okko ..
I particularly like the neck pickup ..

It is very playable acoustic .. if you want to make his lines "the fire" without having to connect it to the amp ..

OVERALL OPINION

I previously owned a 2004 ES 335 .. a epiphone sheraton, 1989 (made in workshops Peerless, because the plant produce different models for major brands ..)
But I prefer the custom Peerless renaissance: for the price is perfect and the fact that there is no central beam in the guitar is a definite plus ..
What I like less, so let's see .... um ...... ....... design his head a little strange, broad bottom tightened up ... well, forget it quickly this detail when we see this beautiful flamed maple, and the perfect abalone inlays, a little busy .. but good ...

value for money, after a very long compared with other models ... unbeatable ... unless you blow the budget ..
I loved that the legendary Gibson ES 335, and well .... believe me .. ca .. calm
Korean workshops, all workshops as Japan, produce quality guitars and Peerless, still poorly known in France seems to have seceded with his new line of guitars ..
The renaissance has really nothing to be ashamed of these great American sisters that you buy also the myth and image ..
One board, contact you, try one if you're lucky enough to find one at your dealer ..
