Hi, I'm pretty new to all of this so I may be a bit vague.

I want to get a descent pair of monitor speakers for all round use, but don't have a clue where to start, so I'll tell you my setup and needs, and hopefully you can help a very confused man.

I have a PC (XP home,3.2gz P4,500mb ram), an electric guitar and fx processor, a Yamaha QY700, and a copy of Cubase.

The speakers will be used for:

Listening to music from the PC and maybe from a CD player. (nice sound very important)

Playing guitar via the fx processor.

Monitoring music recorded onto the PC using Cubase.

Monitoring mixes from the QY700.

....and maybe all of the above connected via the PC sound card.

Hope that makes sense.

Any advice?
