    Peavey KB100Published on 10/27/16 at 19:59
I bought my KB 100 for $60.00 ( U.S) and it was the best $60.00 I ever spent . Great for Key's , Acoustic Guitar , Pedal Steel Guitar and Bass , if ever there was a Swiss Army Amp , this is it . Like all Peavey amps it's built like a tank , I love this thing . Way undervalued on ebay , Reverb and Pawn Shops. Buy It !!

Amp transistors, it is cheaper? Yes maybe, but this is the keyboard amp, what interest to put lamps ??? huh ??? But otherwise it's a keyboard amp first. But it will amuse more than a bassist. Yeah tweeter recess, but not twitter.
Connectivity, including a 4 jack XLR BY MODELS

    UTILIZATION

Simple Config, it's just an amp, not a coqpit.
Clear in 4 languages and eight-page manual. Two in French, it is not literature.

I board no manual set I printed via the web.
And beware !!! KB 100 has been marketed for some time, and the beast has mutated. Mute is not, however, his temperament. There are various latest models are equipped with a 12 db button, and there are different ways…

And beware !!! KB 100 has been marketed for some time, and the beast has mutated. Mute is not, however, his temperament. There are various latest models are equipped with a 12 db button, and there are different ways to connect the jacks by model. I have an early model 1999 and a second in 2004. I use them in monitoring home studio, yes it is an aberration I know, but it also serves as a home recording studio microphone, and it is not as disappointing as that.

    OVERALL OPINION

I possess from 1 year to the Peavey KB 100 1999. I would say that its RMS power of 100 W is far announced but it Degomme. For the second (that of 2004) there is one further 100 W. but it's not the most important at this beast.

As a bassist, I use pseudo stereo via a small sound card (Steinberg UR 22) and also CUBASE. I work for the time being with a keyboardist, and we very quickly adjust the EQ (equalizer) 4 bands really work for the 2 models. I mainly tried to amp hilarious as very large.

Tried at home in the garden unannounced with friends in the early evening (nan !! it was late in the evening), with 4 inputs and allows immediate connect what you want .

It is enough haired hunk (25 or 26 kg ... the fat) to cash oxen to the stage, you will have to resolve to connect only one instrument recess, the EQ will not fit all users. (So first, keyboard) then bass). But with choeuristes why not? to try

    GREAT all around amp!!!

    Peavey KB100Published on 09/16/13 at 19:55
This Peavey KB100 amp is by far the most talented, all around amp I own, and I own a lot of amps (lol).
Fantastic for my keyboards as well as Bass and guitars. It doesn't matter what my guests bring over to play, because they can always plug into this beauty and just plain jam.
    I will never sell it.

    UTILIZATION

With 3 channels and high/low rage (push-pull)selectors on each channel, the target range is always easy to achieve.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've owned every amp over the past 40+ years of playing amplified instruments. This is one of my all time studio/jammin' favorites.

    - 65w
    - 15 inches and a tweeter
    - 3 inputs
    - 4-band EQ

    UTILIZATION

    Easy to use. Very practical.
It costs almost nothing, but it does everything I want. Piano, guitar and, in my case, I also use it as a vocal amp. The only problem is its size. It is huge, but I don't regret having bought it.

    OVERALL OPINION

    Good amp
    Good price
    Long life
    Good buy

    - Amplification technology (tube, solid state, ...)?
    65 W transistor amp

    - Output power?
    ??? It's mighty

    - Connections?
Varies depending on the year. On the old ones, 3 jack inputs, while on the newer ones, the first one is an XLR combo.
Effects loop (pre-EQ) on the front.
On the back headphones connector, Preamp output, Amp input, pedal switch.

    - What about controls, effects etc.?
    Volume / Input
    Four-band EQ
    Reverb

All good in terms of specs. It only lacks a semi-parametric, so I give it a 9

    UTILIZATION

    - What about the settings?
    A delight

    - Is it easy to get the right sound?

    - Is it easy to get the right sound?
Yes, it rocks. Especially the lows: 15" speaker
On the other hand, the sound lacks some personality. Although that seems logical for a keyboard amp...

    - Is the user's manual clear and comprehensive?
You need a manual to set an amp?

    OVERALL OPINION

    - How long have you been using it?
    5-6 years

    - Which features do you like the most / the least?
The most: its power and lows
The least: its weight. I think it weighs 55lbs (25 kg). No pain, no gain.

    - Did you try any other models before buying it?
    Quite a few, I'd say

    - How would you rate its value for money?
Excellent. You can find it for $200-$300 (150€-200€), depending on its condition, and it's a fair deal.

    - Based on your experience, would you choose this product again?
    Yes, without hesitation.

To give you and idea of the possibilities of this amp: my Laney PA system broke down once. It was the one we used to play in bars. A speaker burst. One day before a concert, a Sunday of course. What to do?
As a temporary solution I connected the KB 100 to the line out to use it as a main speaker on one side.
It worked so well that we quickly got rid of the Laney, bought a second KB100 and a console and used the two KB100 as PA speakers to play in bars.
We toured like that for several months before getting the money to buy real PA speakers. Nobody ever complained about our sound, quite the opposite.

Other ways I use this amp:
    - as an emergency bass amp
    - to complement a small PA system for fiestas in the jardin to get more powerful lows. In fact it can almost serve as a subwoofer.

At that price, I buy more every chance I get.

    100W transistor
    jack connectors
basic settings, no real effect (except for a pseudo reverb?!)

    UTILIZATION

    Configuration: easy
A good sound? Yes, very faithful
User manual? Ah, I don't know, it does its job :P

    OVERALL OPINION

I've used it one year with an electric guitar with drive and the works. For the price (0euros), the sound is huge, if I could only have a second one...

Hi! Many things have been said... but the amp only delivers 65W, a trick that works for all amps is to divide by three their consumption.

    UTILIZATION

In fact, its sound is average, its response goes from around 100 to 14000Htz; I was forced to use an EQ to get the lows (60Htz) and highs (16KHtz) back.

    OVERALL OPINION

On the other hand, it is sturdy; I've been using it for 20 years
I added tiny casters to it because it weighs 57 lbs (26 kg).

This is a keyboard amp that can double as a bass amp or guitar amp in certain situations. It has three channels, one for keys, one for acoustic guitar, and one for a microphone. I'm pretty sure that the keyboard channel can be used for bass as well. These can all be run at the same time at high volumes. There are 1/4" inputs for all of these channels, except for the mic channel which only has an XLR input (which makes sense). There are a ton of features, a built-in compressor, a 4-band EQ, master volume, reverb. There is also an "insert" input which I've never used. There's also an effects loop that I have yet to really use either. The amp has 86 watts of power, though it feels like a ton m…

There's also an effects loop that I have yet to really use either. The amp has 86 watts of power, though it feels like a ton more.

    UTILIZATION

The good sounds that come out of this amp are very particular. Keyboards sound good right out of the bat, as do acoustic guitars (although to a lesser extent). If you are using a PA, then the microphone jack is almost irrelevant. The mic/keyboard combo would only be good in a rehearsal situation for a pianist/songwriter. I don't really think basses sound amazing out of this amp, but it works, at least. I've seen people try to use electric guitars, and I think that they are ultimately really weak-sounding and too clean. The manual for this amp explains everything in a lot of detail. While you could use this amp without the manual, it's a good idea to at least peruse it, there were some suggestions and ideas in there that I found useful.

    OVERALL OPINION

This amp is only GREAT for keys and acoustics. Since this is what I got it for, I am very satisfied with it. It doesn't color the tone that comes out of my keyboard, but it doesn't have the anemic, lifeless feel that comes with running keys through the DI into the PA. In other words, it brings the keyboard to life. The built-in compression goes a long way towards smoothing out the sound. These same qualities make it great for acoustic players who don't want to color their tone too much. As I said before, don't expect much out of it for electric guitars and basses, these instruments just aren't really compatible with this amp. It's not too expensive either, so I highly recommend it to keyboard players looking for a reasonably price keyboard amp that will do the trick for them.
