OVERALL OPINION

I use the microwave for 2007, while approximately studio: Voice, guitar, bass, overhead, Guitar ....

For everything guitar and bass, situated less than twenty centimeters and coupled to a sm57. Together they provide a sufficiently clean result to rework the rear tracks.

For voice, this mic is good.

In OverHead, I used one, it lacks a bit of fishing to capture everything, but it does its job and then "link" the various elements of the batteries (just cussed by the noise gate on the other tracks ).

After a good equalizer boosts the capabilities of any microphone.

This mic really worth it! After years of use, I know him well and knows how to deal with the mix. I think I Roade well but I did not take but a second pass to another brand.
It will still have this for other uses.

The Apex 415 is a large diaphragm condenser microphone that was manufacture in China if I am not mistaken. It has a switch on the it that can access the pickup patterns ( cardioid, omnidirectional and figure of 8) also a high pass switch to roll off the low frequencies. The microphone seemed to be pretty well built and made of a heavy material. We used this microphone for a few applications back in 2006 or so, but the microphone came out years before that. It is a nice looking microphone and will spice up your set up when people see this microphone because of its shiny appeal. Never seen it used in a live situation though, only in studio recordings which is where it excels at .


OVERALL OPINION

For the price, you get a good quality microphone and you couldn’t expect much more out of it. All of the recordings with the Apex 415 seemed to be full of life and warm. I have heard a lot of rumors regarding the life span of these microphones not being very long. Ours was fine, but others have told me that these microphones and start to go out on your after the first year you purchase it which is more of a reason to buy a warranty on it. But I didn’t feel the need for a warrant on a microphone that was this inexpensive. Plus I never had a issue with it while I was using it. I was happy with this microphone while I was using it, if I could make the choice all over again I would choose the same mic. I have tried a few other Apex microphones before and during the same time as this one. But the 415 could be my favorite one in this price range by far. This microphone was a must try back in 2006, and I still suggest trying it out now.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this mic for 15 days. I still have a lot of case figures to be tested.
For singing, I am fully satisfied with regard to price.
First referred to a RODE NT1000, my portfolio has decided for me.

I like the aggression in the acute light that gives my voice (tenor) presence.
on the other hand, in overhead on a battery, means a light veil on the cymbals.
Excellent quality / price.
Very versatile, but for decision-battery, forget it.
I'll keep these microphones as demos that I could do.
For def, it will take heavy artillery.

In conclusion, I would say that it is an excellent tool for home-studio owners.
In the era of MP3 and its qualitative limits, I think this mic is more than sufficient to meet the expectations of an artist who wants to put his music online.

The Apex 415 microphone looks good. Of its rugged appearance, delivered in hard box with a clamp and windscreen studio, this mic seduces with its price / quality ratio.
Time to get serious; tests taken sound!

On a positive note the settings offered on the microphone. A setting-4dB / 20 db and a directional cursor!
Very handy for percussion taken to 4db! micro cash and fully restores the colors and timbres of percussion. Comparing with a RODE NT1 example, we do not see the difference. The texture is smooth and transparent. Well, you still have a preamp right to accept the microphone 48v style "art song" it's fine.
