Clearly, it changes your life to have a real good mic. When I plugged my two usual preamp, I left the settings on my two previous known microphones, and that's where we see that we are immediately much more comfortable to do it right uptake.

I have long hesitated between the TB1 MS and this one, but the sensibility was playing ... bcp (25.1 mV for TB1). It should be a good car to ask the TB1, which is not my case ... value for money is excellent, the Chinese are really micro mm quality big brands and standards (U 87 AKG C 414, etc ...)

Look carefully on the web, you will find good lamp for cheap + price of the apex 460 you'll get 6-7 times cheaper than the Telefunken RFT M16

And if you want to push the envelope, change the capacitors in plastic polypropylene WIMA capacitors for the 3 and scr petis for the 2 largest (with that out of breath at all if there ever was and that it is not due to the lamp)

And there was the cheap microphone Top (knowing that basically there is already good)

Excellent value for money

For small budget c is the ultimate in tube microphone with T-Bone and SCT2000 Studio Project TB1

Lamp interchangeable (unlike SCT700 on which it is welded)
So customizable with a better light (I recommend) with 12AX7 or 12AT7 vintage
or with modern 12AX7 electro harmonix eh like € 10-15 who are not rich but very good nonetheless.
