Micro lamp that I use primarily for singing

OVERALL OPINION

I once used a studio project B3 who died after a year (just after the warranty grrrrr!) And I swore never to a kopek this brand.
And yet ...
I have for 3 years now MK2 TB1 and I'm ultra happy.
I've tried it from a park so micro enough (one AKG C414B XL 2) and frankly I was packed hall. I replaced the lamp with a Chinese old (but new) telefunken our 57 (if I remember correctly) and the result satisfies me. It is very sensitive to the environment and makes it usable in a home studio lambda.
I have attached a short video made with. You will notice that it is surrounded by a black stocking this to avoid using antipop (aesthetic history).

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two days. I bought because it is expected to praise (I will not never seen in the studio where I work). In fact the site of essentiellemnt Audiofanzine, site of rumors tell us.
I love nothing in this microphone, nothing at all. I thought he fell on a faulty model, so I'm going to exchange it against another, well, not better ...... Hyper aggressive, without natural highs, where are the media, very widened, the sound seems to have no thickness (on vocals and other instruments, the worst being the piano). I really do not understand the popularity of this microphone in the same price range there are much better, without biensur lamp since it is cheaper but has the name of lamp (I allowed to warm biensur I know what a tube microphone). Huge disappointment. I tried it on several voices, several instruments (guitar clean, full, piano, percussions, overhead) and several prémp (Universal Audio, Focusrite, Neve, Joe Meek, SPL, Chandler) to no avail. Listen with Dynaudio BM15 and even with the Thruth Behringer and M-Audio same is my brother. I read in a test here, a friend who compared it with an Audio Technica 4033, well it's not really believe that all such ears (this is certain that matter), since 4033 that its defects, too, does not breath, is better defined with a more ample. Pity also not to say that it competes with a U47 or even a TLM (which is not pouratnt to type in the ass on the floor) :-(((((
I practice a few models and not an "only" micro elite (what we are trying to convince us with the TB1), anything works better. It is only my opinion, I have no credibility on this site but pity try compare the before and especially because even an SM58 is more credible.
I would do if this election ?????? This is a joke. I am back and bought two more 57 or 421 there is value for money. A word

Micro Lamps Cardioid Condenser.
Superb suitcase containing 7-pin XLR cable, power supply, microphone windscreen, suspension kit and a replacement for the elastic suspension. Very complete.
Micro relatively robust (although that is a static tube so be careful to heat shock, etc. ...).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 weeks. I've been thinking, listening, comparing the number of microphones, tube lights and not -> Rode NT1 & NTK, TLM 103, SE Electronics Z5600, AudioTechnica ...).
I agree with the previous opinion, compared to the TLM 103 TB1mk2 is much less steep in haut-medium/aigu! At the same time they are two different technologies, but hey, what a slap in the sound! Sound soup, warm, very good definition and good sensitivity, and especially without the coloration of certain vulgar tube microphones sometimes more expensive. I note a slightly lower medium back, but nothing serious.

I recorded my singing (very rock, warm and powerful voice to the Free / ACDC / Cry Of Love ...) -> Good results!
My own voice (rather nice) -> Correct
Acoustic Guitar -> Bon made without excessive aggressiveness, correct definition.
Electric guitar -> no, not managed to get a sound that suits me, on average, and close proximity, in the correct atmosphere (give a little air).

Tested on TG2, A-Design Blue, Purple BizMk, LTD-1.

It is a pleasure to mix (very little correction to be made with the EQ, except a LowCut (see below).

Qualities: Good definition, warmth, smoothness, accessories, easy to fit into a mix, cash relatively well
Its defects: a single pattern (cardioid), no low cut, no pad, slightly recessed lower midrange.
EDIT 11/07: some voices of the medium is a little "stiff"

At this price, do not ask for the options useful but that would have significantly increased the price of micro (Pad / HP / multi-directional)

Here is a microphone with a very good price / quality ratio. (Warning, I heard that some series had a different rendering of a microphone to another, especially with the first generation of TB1, to check / test the mk2 so.)

I intend to invest in a second TB1mk2 before saving for my next micro (no doubt a FLEA)

OVERALL OPINION

I itulise for 1 month.

the quality is very good, I'm more in the pack Comblen nothing is missing!.

I had a B-2 pro for 2 years, not bad and I have a SE2200A the c'tait mieu dj and he even bluff because I don ' not expect this much mic ..... but with the TB1 MK2-I recognize that sound is the Submitted and (as I test the voice) of the heat and the depth we are now husband for life!

I have long hsit between Rode K-2 used $ 400 and TB1 MK2-nine $ 270 but my wallet him, PERIOD crisis did not take long r flchir ...
It is al a good product, not too expensive, taken to the voices of good quality in an apartment without cab 150000000 (my finger got stuck on the zerooo dsl) (the home-studio) because I am no pro and my points of comparison are quite limited.

I do not mean the "beautquot; of this product, for me it is not important and then the cot on the B-2 dfend is too good and not too bad .. SE22000A . it was a short micro what?

-I am satisfied with my purchase but I never had the chance to test a micro high-end or even a K-2, and I admit if I'm the Pt feet I gladly indulge so I heard about it or if I win a one million Euro while aujourdh'ui APRS is Friday ....

I'm not saying this out of malice, but frankly you abuse your serious post on the TB1! j ve 3 here in a park rather well supplied and frankly this mic it up in the high end, we've done blind tests in a large studio in Paris with several sound engineer and we were all amazed by this micro facing a U87! I do not see your comparison between an SM57 and a mk2 TB1! can you develop? Thank you! Math
