I needed to connect a computer with a MIDI keyboard.

It is a MIDI / USB cables Intgr twelve o'clock. Ideal for my situation.
I use it for 3 years without any worries.
I went from a mobile Duron, a fixed-PIV and a Centrino laptop, all under WinXP.

UTILIZATION

Drivers for WinXP are so stable that no day is like setting.
The UM-1 is always recognized the ignition.
It makes so little about her that I just forget it exists.
Whatever the software used has worked well.
No saturation, no problem li latency interface.

OVERALL OPINION

I give this opinion to that of moderate chanteur_% C3% A0_chier (http://chanteur_% C3% A0_chier) ENTSO that the MIDI cables are Intgr.
Personally, it's not rev high to me, and I do not need to put my keyboard of my computer 10 meters. On the contrary! I have the QWERTY keyboard and mouse on my keyboard matre poss.
The UM-1 is not intended for those who have full-expanders, but those who just need to control Cubase or another with a single keyboard matre.
In the latter case, the UM-1 is a perfect reliability.
For others, they must learn to read the CHARACTERISTICS of a product before buying it.

Extremely simple, I use it in Jaguar (Mac) and he can simply Tlcharger the driver at the site of Dirol under "updates downloads" http://edirol.fr / and you're jou! I use it with cubase, up to 15 tracks at the same time and my good little inteface never saturated! For latency, it is nonexistent. Only less: the son Intgr Systm fairly restrictive when the computer is not proximity of the keyboard. However a few dollars more, there is the UM-1S, which possde precisely the sockets for the connection to Sun 8 (pm)

Here I think, as an amateur, it's a good interface for a single instrument, and many exploitable on cubase! A good entry level.

I needed a MIDI / USB drive for Addictive Drums via my Roland electronic drums. I chose this product by chance (and also because I trust the products relativemment Roland / Boss / Edirol.

I only needed a single MIDI In and MIDI Out, so I opted for the smallest model Edirol (other offering several MIDI in and out).

UTILIZATION

After installing the driver, plug the device, it configures your PC and other software (drummaps etc ...) and everything works parfaitemment. Latency is absolutely undetectable by ear.
I use it all with Addictive Drums Cubase and Windows XP Pro. I have tested equals with friends in Live, Nuendo and sequencers in Windows Vista and Seven, each time no worries.
Stability is exemplary. I had no crashes or bugs.

For those who have a significant distance between their MIDI and their computer equipment: attention to the length imposed by the cables included in the box.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been eight months since I use it and I am very stisfait. The price may put off a bit initially for a simple MIDI / USB (other brands offer less expensive) but it's really a great product. Did not test the interfaces from other manufacturers, I can not compare
but we must admit that it fulfilled its role parfaitemment)
