The baphomet is manufactured in Poland in a small workshop in Gdansk.
The workshop produced for brands FAME (exclusive MusicStore) FLAME (Polish market only) and Mayon.
The supply to the dealer may be long especially for lefties, it takes a period of 4 to 8 weeks for an order through phone.
I found my instrument in stock at the site of the retailer.

This is a neat and efficient manufacturing. The violin is worth a look and commands respect. The weekly maintenance of the low-wax is needed if you do not want any traces on the body of the guitar.

It is equipped with a 34-inch round ferry (24 frets), GHS strings original "boomers", Ebony nut, 2 single coil pickups MEC active MEC electronics to both bands.
The body is Amazaque (African rosewood), the handle is made of five layers maple / mahogany and the fingerboard is wenge, this is for the exotic.
The mechanical properties are Gotoh type but a little firm, said the bridge is robust 3D,
overall it's very functional.
Electronics MEC is served by three knobs, volume 1 PUSH / PULL active / passive, a pickup blend, bass STACK 1 / treble (potentiometer with two floors).
It's assets and liabilities on a 9v battery.
The baphomet is fairly upscale. Extensive use leaves a mark, only downside.
Raw lacquer finish without the guitar does not protect enough.
After a month of use, a mechanical broke. Installing genuine Gotoh :-(

UTILIZATION

A well thought out and low light.
The handle is very nice touch is soft and sensualizes more experience with the baphomet.
For a 5 string, it is distinguished by a space between the strings close enough. Ergonomics is very satisfactory, the body of the bass is properly balances the handle. It is lightweight and can be used over several hours with ease.
The raw wood is beautiful in texture, wood grain gives a visual very pleasant.
Beautiful but still sensitive to scratches ...
Sound: MEC are the microphones mounted on the majority of Warwick therefore a priori no surprises.
Baphomet on what emerges is a well-balanced sound of the wood and the handle in particular, low to feast and configuration three simple knobs. The sound is very good and clean as a liability into an asset.

Overall this is a musical instrument of good quality despite finishing details to be reviewed.

SOUNDS

First played open, it rings fine reason. Good sign.
Sound ...
The SI is highly distinctive and serious all the effects (picking / muting / tapping) are made so hot. A very nice slap sound.
The volume balance between the strings is equal, it is a pleasure.
What I was looking for the sacred is "growl" to support the rhythm parts in the lower octaves, a "growl" out of stained or too low nor too compressed.
The preamp is very effective sound output is not very powerful but it allows combinations of passive / active, which facilitates the use of different amps and guarantee the sound without breath or hum.
Clearly the Bapho it's clean, cozy and warm sound without burrs.

OVERALL OPINION

Young follower of the sect of baphomet, my opinion:
Should not miss the opportunity.
The bapho sounds good, sounding warm and clean.
The price / pleasure is good.
Talk to the wax is still a small "galley".
The finish is ok but not copy, save on the varnish is a bit stupid.

Note the pleasure of the little details, plate trussroad and electronic matching wood.
There is a craft that reassures worry, this bass is beautiful.
However it is the attention to detail that it will improve.
The neck pickup was not properly installed or tightened into place, a mechanism broke on the MI. Unacceptable for a guitar out of a workshop at this price.
The details given on the site of Fame reseller are not always complete or accurate but after visiting the site of Fame Instruments, we understand a little better mind.
However, transportation is fast from Germany to France, three days max.
