Reaper users on Windows can discover a new virtual instruments that makes loop-based music creation easier.
Playtime was developed by Benjamin Klum, aka Helgoboss. The VST makes extensive use of the Reaper API and is designed for those who use loops to create music. The GUI offers, among others, a Session View loosely inspired by the one included in Ableton Live. It basically operates by positioning items on the tracks in real time.
With Playtime, you can intuitively play by triggering the loops from you MIDI controller or the GUI, which makes it ideal for live use or arrangement.
Playtime is currently available on Windows x64/x86, a Mac OS X version is expected soon. The plug-in can be purchased for 20€ at www.helgoboss.org. The developer is active on the Reaper forums so you can submit any issue or request, and we are sure that the plug-in will soon evolve.
