I saw the ad on the internet this guitar was on sale for $600 its going online at music123.com for $830 so that was a steal! I bought it at guitar center here in Albuquerque. Thanks David for hooking me up man

I like the shape, finish and the pickups. The finish is beatifule it has a quilted maple top and a mohangony back, it also has two rosewood stripes along the neck one the body. The pickups get awsome distortion. They get great clean tones to but are a little bassy but i wont replace them unless i have to. The shape is awsome slap the beauty right down on your knee and play all day. IT ALSO FITS INTO ANY STANDARD CASE!! so dont let them rip you off for a BC rich case. I love the ebony…

I love the ebony fretboard with the cloud in lays they worn like crap online but the pics dont do them justice at all.

The only complaint i have is that it is neck heavy but i can deal with that. nothing else that i dont like.

the guitar is built so solid its a little heavy but nothing that i can complain about because i can deal with it. The electronics were well sodered together. great peice of ger the only modification that i will eventually do to it as i do to every elcetric i own is install a les paul style 2-way on/off switch

GREAT GUITAR thinkin about buying the classic BICH

B.C. Rich NJ Classic MockingbirdPublished on 11/24/11 at 21:19
I bought the B.C Rich NJ Classic Mockingbird after using a few Les Paul Standard models. I greatly preferred this “60s” neck over the larger “50s” style and new asymmetric style neck that are on other models. The “60s” neck is really pretty thick, but it is extremely comfortable. The guitar played really well right out of the box.

    UTILIZATION

Very low action, with literally no buzzes anywhere. Every time I get the guitar out, I am struck by just how easy it is to play. The neck has not shifted at all in the month I’ve had the guitar, and no adjustments to the action have been necessary. With regard to sound, it is a very strong guitar. UTILIZATION

Very low action, with literally no buzzes anywhere. Every time I get the guitar out, I am struck by just how easy it is to play. The neck has not shifted at all in the month I’ve had the guitar, and no adjustments to the action have been necessary. With regard to sound, it is a very strong guitar. The Burstbucker III in the bridge position is quite bright, but it can be made to sound more like a Duncan 59 by rolling the tone control back to 7 or 8.

    SOUNDS

I find that I really like the brightness, as it gives the guitar a clear, ringing sound when you want it, but can easily sound darker just by adjusting the tone. Dialing the tone down does not result in the muted kind of sound I’ve had from other guitars. It just give the bridge pickup a different sound. The coil taps on both pickups work very well.

    OVERALL OPINION

Overall, this is a wonderfully versatile guiar. I’ve played the guitar out in several different settings, ranging from a loud blues club to a quiet coffee house and it has sounded great in all of them. I've been playing the guitar through a Fender Blues Junior with a Celestion speaker in it, and a Ceriatone 50watt HRM, which is a copy of a Dumble amp. The guitar did come with a few minor flaws. The finish on the back of the neck had one small area of “fish eyeing,” which looks like tiny pits in the finish. There was also one dull smudge on the side of the body. Because the guitar played so well, I elected to keep it rather than return it and hope for one without blemishes that played as well.

    Japanese production of high quality.
24 frets, pickups bc rich type humbecker really surprising.
    easel type tune-o-matic (gibson)
    2 volume / 1 tone / 1 selector 3 positions.
    NECK impeccable.

    UTILIZATION

    Channel: highway.
    access to acute super simple.
downside: it tends to sting a little of the head.

    SOUNDS

Guitar driven rock and all its derivatives, all.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months and really fits the expectations I had.

It is normally indicated on the data sheet of the guitar Made in Japan, but the guitar itself is seen Made in China ... Anyway, this is an more or less neglected as people ...

    Oriental Mahogany body
    Maple neck-in
    Ebony
    24 Frets, landmarks "inlaid clouds"
    3 knobs volume / volume / tone
    A 3-position selector
2 humbuckers BC RICH versatile rather casually.
    Tune-O-Matic

The violin is good. But I put 9 because of the confusion Made in China / Japan.

    UTILIZATION

Channel impeccable. Strings near the neck, frets access to 22, 23 and 24 incredibly easy. The form is BEAUTIFUL !!!!! (Hide influence of X-Japan). The only drawback: it pitches down, because of the tie strap…

    UTILIZATION

Channel impeccable. Strings near the neck, frets access to 22, 23 and 24 incredibly easy. The form is BEAUTIFUL !!!!! (Hide influence of X-Japan). The only drawback: it pitches down, because of the tie strap that is behind the guitar. But it is not very serious because you'll quickly get used to. Anyway, my first surprise was to see that it is rather slight. The sound is rather simple to obtain. However, for those who like to play acute, faloir will mount the trebles and bass cut. But nothing important to do.

    SOUNDS

As for sound, BA nothing to say, it sounds good! The sound is rather serious, normal, micro BC RICH. But the pickups are rather versatile. Rock, punk, metal, blues ... That's what I was looking for! Well I play on a crappy little amp (Fender Frontman 15W), but in the studio on a Marshall 100W Tube! There SOUND! Personally, I play with a BOSS ME-50. In Overdrive (OD-3) for the riffs, chords, etc. I like to use the bridge pickup, about the solo I think the neck pickup is more suitable. So to saturation, the pickups are good, I wonder why people tend to change their microphones BC RICH against the EMG, these bases are very friendly. For the clean sound, again, nothing to say. Neck position for a smooth and quite serious, the bridge position for a clearer, more vivid. In short, whether or Drive Clean, there is a perfect account.

    OVERALL OPINION

It'll be a week that I, and it will be a week of intensive guitar! What I like about this guitar is the shape and color (I red), and of course the sound. The only flaw is that it pitches down, but hey it's not very bad. I wanted to change the guitar, then I fell in love with it. This is after several opinions and information that I have chosen it. The shape and the violin have it all. It is not sold in France, I have been totally imported from the United States. Guitar coutée my € 560 but with shipping € 640. It's a choice I would do without hesitation!

Channel Gibsonnien quite in the spirit, maple, very big! In any case, much more than a 60 'Gibson Flying V! But all in all very pleasant ... the most being that it is a neck through, 24 frets ... no heel stick!
An ebony fingerboard beautiful, embellished by the installation of specific landmarks (the clouds) perloid white ... very pleasant to watch. The hoop is jumbo.
The head is beautiful, surrounded by a very nice cream binding, rosewood and finish ... the mechanics are very traditional die cast oil bath.
The table is sublime! really special ... color cream is particularly well highlighted the beautifully flamed maple.
The rest of the body is mahogany ...
The electronics consists of two BC Rich humbuckers passive pickups.
We could in theory, a guitar close enough to the spirit of Les Paul Standard ...

    UTILIZATION

The handle is very large ... I usually played on a Les Paul Standard and a Gretsch hollow body, and I must say it surprised me ... m'anche it is very rustic, at least less comfortable than my les paul 50 '... but it is subjective!
The key however, is a marvel ... Ebony, so very smooth, silky ... inlays are of exceptional beauty in the shape of clouds ... BEAUTIFUL!
The Jumbo hoop is very nice and neat enough for the price ...

Ergonomics genarale provides access to 24 case very clear. For those who like to exploit the extreme high register. The inferior pan provides a broad access, and lack of heel is also for you!
But the ergonomics has its limits: the body is fairly light, and the straps dispostion ties, the guitar is very unbalanced! The head pic systematically, making it unpleasant in the books the flights acute ...
Being a tres gunnesque inonditionnel of Slash, I wear my guitar quite low, and the feelings of game chorus are quite unpleasant, in this case ... I'm still not used to me!
The weight is all in all, much less than a les paul standard.

Design "classic" means a guitar in the spirit plug and play ... the sound is right there! the guitar is very present and typed, regardless of the amp used!

I put 7 for playing comfort questionable, if you play standing up ...

    SOUNDS

As said above, I am a huge fan of slash! I play mainly hard rock and burn bright!

Having tried this guitar mesa, marshall, orange, line 6 ... I really luff by its tonal possibilities!

The tones are very flattering, and even surprising: if you are allergic to cold sounds of BC Rich platinum, bronze, etc ... food your prejudices!
These pickups sound wonderful! They are particularly suitable for hard rock:
Very high output, low and high predominance of mediums. You will need to force on a treble for his incisive.
It is natural for a fairly aggressive things, I think, with lots of gain. For more than the hard metal, the sounds are very hot, greasy and not very precise ... the fan sounds precise, surgical, opt for a set of EMG active (which will be a good investment for the very respectable violin)
This guitar, for a certain "public" is no less poyvalente, and one can easily get by playing on the drive, the volume and tone, clear sounds, round, warm and clear ...

I use this guitar almost exclusively in saturated ... the sounds are consistent, very hot, bold and very active ... The violin has a crazy and sustain a safe impressive is the guitar for leads slashesques cut;)

10! for these sounds flattering, and very surprising to say the least ...

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months now ...

I was dazzled by the tonal possibilities of the beast ... really ...
She has a face and it's definitely insane (after the fernandes Ravelli and the dean cadillac) one of the most beautiful guitars I think ...
The violin, the price is very high quality!
I regret this problem of ergonomics, which can make the guitar rather unpleasant, sometimes ... the handle is heavier than the rest! and then the lack of heel that delights some, may, however, daunting for others (I'm pretty big fan of heels gibsonnien!)

I own a Gibson Les Paul Standard, Flying V and a Gretsch Electromatic Hollow Body ... but BC Rich holds a special place in my heart ...

The price / quality ratio is just exceptional ... at that price, only the dean cadillac can, in my opinion, match!
The price is about 580 euros, in-store ... but I was lucky to find it used in a complete nine ... at a bargain price!
I would probably lock this choice ... or maybe I'd be tempted by the dean cadillac ... The BC Rich is really a bomb!

Ct ergonomic shape requires some sacrifices ... one suspects!

Rglages? Simple and effective (knobs of quality - not like the low-end Epiphone kind)!

    SOUNDS

This guitar sounds really nice, but it does not agree, however, not what I was looking ... I actually was looking for a guitar with big bass (no, not low, ah, ah !...)...

This is a guitar solo to play hard / blues (well, I think). Its midrange and treble are really perfect for a (not only): crmeux, soft, not noisy, balance ...
His highs are really sduisants. In its clear that it is empty most: playing and volume, and the positions we just get crystalline sound (perfect for post-rock thr), may even be funky, with serious do not go back too, which do not rotate (neck-requires) ... And having adquate amp (Mesa Boogie for the lead / saturated Sound City Fender or for the light), this guitar has a sound all that hot. Intermdiaire position is perfect for a game jazzy ...

Micro level, it's weird, but it is really between the single coil (for slamming and clarity and twice (for the roundness of the bass and mdiums ... It goes without saying that the violin n 'is not trangre! The neck-in effect adds clarity to the sound, and fast low-ups (my regret!).

    OVERALL OPINION

I have used some thirty hours ... never to play what I play ... prvoyais in fact, a guitar on which a lot of fun to play, improvise, handle and look forced! And the treble I like really ... APRS, it would be my game and I gots me it should be revised to operate properly this guitar! As part of my group of sludge, this guitar n'tait absolutely appropriate ... my regret! But I can not blame that my!

In terms of price between the shipping, customs fees and the price of the guitar itself, I Exceeds 600 euros ... The report price is unbeatable quality saw the violin and finishes! What I like most? Its look!

I do not regret that because this guitar is not for me! I do not that choice would do!

Rich in house pickups called rockfield mafias. The body is two mahogany wings attached to the 5 piece maple and walnut neck. It has a Gibson style tune-o-matic bridge and stop tail piece. It has two volume knobs and one tone knob with a toggle style 3 way pickup selector. The volume knob is right next to the brdige pickup so you can easily do volume swells.

    UTILIZATION

With the guitars shape and heavy beveling it is very easy to reach the upper frets on the neck. The shape of the bottom horn lets it rest perfectly on your leg when playing sitting down. The beveling on the top of the guitar prevents the edge from digging into your arm and possibly hurting you. The neck is a D shape and it is not too thick. The ebony fretboard feels smooth under your fingers.

    SOUNDS

Neck Through guitars are brighter than most guitars due to their construction. THe mahogany wings on the body balance out the brightness caused by the neck. It sounds more like a Les Paul than a strat due to its construction and hardware. This guitar is meant for heavy music and with the stock pickups you can do heavy music find. They have plenty of output and can drive most amp. Acoustically this guitar sounds a little thin.

    OVERALL OPINION

This guitar is very reasonably priced for the features. You will have a hard time finding another neck through construction guitar with an ebony fretboard. I dont know why more companies dont make their guitars like this. It is clearly the best method for neck construction. The shape may be radical to some but to others its a classic shape. The shape has been around since the 70s and was way ahead of its time then.
