Marshall AVT100
Published on 12/19/01 at 15:00$900 CAD
The distortion on this amp is nice and heavy. Masses of gain for an amp of this size. The clean channel blew me away. I was very surprised to get clean channel that sounded as good as this.
If find that for a 100 watt amp, it's a little underpowered. I guess only running through a single 12 may be the reason. It will most like likely sound better plugged into a 4-12 cab.
Just got it, but it seems like it's built like a tank.
I am quite glad with the purchase, I love the distortion on both od1 and od2. Just wish it had a bit more punch on the distorition channels.

- 100 Watts
- 3 channels: clear, 1 overdrive, overdrive 2.
- Effects loop (reverb, chorus, delay ...)
UTILIZATION
Simple to use, the advantage is to rgler channels separately. The equalization of the two channels of overdrive is common, which is a shame.
The effects loop is not very practical, because you can not switch between effects, must be done by hand.
For cons, I found the setting of acute, low and medium rev not effective, the sound changes as not incomparable with any lights.
The manual is like all the manuals, not really useful, it is better to rglages its own

SOUNDS
It's a versatile amp, you can play all styles with. The sound is clear and well frankly the range of distortion is variable. The overdrive channel is just no one I got, the sound is really dgueulasse. The rest are not bad.
Even when I put a big flat, this amp is far trs but then a far cry from a real Marshall amp lamps (jtm45, JCM800, etc.). He's only got my name Marshall.
OVERALL OPINION
- I used less than a year since I sold it because you can buy for that price the amp all lamps more efficient and enjoyable (see the peavey ct or fender amps that offer incredible in the same price range as an unparalleled sound with avt)
- I must say that I found really quite clear, for the rest bof ca is cold and metallic. The reverb did not convince me either, and yet it is essential.
- We can do well trs repetitions or scne with this amp. That said, if you have another guitar amp with 30 watts lamps, you will explode your avt no problem.
- If c'tait again, I would buy a brand lamps for the same price, also I will doSee less00 - fendermaidenPublished on 07/16/06 at 14:20 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Marshall 100watt with a lamp in the preamp is in the rest transistor.

SOUNDS
Well then we should discuss this amp I had two years so I know what I mean.
The clean is not too bad, with a little reverb and pushed her a certain threshold 3 / 10 it's funny (not chui specialist clean at the same time)
The distortion of an od has less gainq hether OD2, the OD1 is warmer than the OD2 and is more prcis.
OD2 because it's a bit of boiled without fishing is finally nothing real bad at all.
HP was a celestion standart reminds me more of the model but nothing whopping.
The baffle is chipboard top I did not believe either.
Finally, it's not the amp of the century, marshall regresses when even a little.
The effects are quite simpa not be pro, is a ribanbelle reverb, flanger I loved her well, however.
This amp suits any style, but hey there surment the best amp that has the same price.
OVERALL OPINION
I possd two years, what I liked most is the 16 onboard effects has pleased me two days APRS and failed to say the least possibility is This distortion without sin and I started drooling six months has captured it sucks.
Aps I remake this choice over time, as this money put into a combo while OCCAZ lamp because it's not top at all but it's still a tad better than any series transistor.See less00 - EяяаtomPublished on 11/13/07 at 12:31 (This content has been automatically translated from French)- Combo Hybrid 12AX7 in prampli

UTILIZATION
Trs simple to use, not REALLY need manual.
Amp versatile, lots of rglages possible sound Marshallian will.
The level of the effects loop is low.
Too bad the scoop button and bright are not up to Pillot.
SOUNDS
The clean:
The clean sound is good, rglage gain is practical and progessive.
The crunch / overdrive:
This lack of safe, thick. Why did not gain an increase in the clean channel which, like the road.
Distortion:
Dbordante, lack of dynamics, attack, prampli lamp is not affected. The dception.
Personally I told him to al Fessard a Turbo Rat, its got good silent trs, Fidler the pedals.
illustration> http://www.myspace.com/hometherapy
Effects:
- The rverbes are good, you want some sailing there are limits too
- Flange, original, typical of a flanger incorporated an amp, nothing do with a good
flanger pedals format.
- Chorus: simple and effective
- The delay: The same applies to him, put the button "adjust" zero, you will have a
dug his thundering and not bad at all!
Scoop the keys are all the same efficient, we move radically his classic a modern sound.
Test with an Ibanez GAX75 with microphones SH4.
OVERALL OPINION
Deception as AVT prtention have to be ahead of VS, but in practice the VS do better. While the AVT are equipment (effects rglage gain on the clean, bright buttons and scoop), but the sounds are not of good quality trs: imprcision on large saturation , lack of potato on the overdrive, there is the clean channel which is doing well, but hey you not put 700 euros for a clean amp Marshall hybrid.
The price is not justified there can be much better, really, I put my head cut off.

Published on 07/09/11 at 15:28This amp is one of Marshall's amp modeling digital amps that has three channels and a pretty good tone for practicing. This amp is another one in the line of amp modeling that tried its best to keep up with real tube amps but never can quite match that feel or tone. areal amp has a punch and thrust that a digital amp can never replicate. You can set the amp up to voice the same tones but the feel and reaction between the preamp and power will never be digitally achieved.

This has three channel one for clean and two for distortion. This is a great amp for practicing some of you guitar chops. If I were to need a practice amp for silent playing at home or in an office. I like that it has two distortion channels that emulate my favorite tones. I am a Marshall guy and to have one channel dedicated to a plexi through the JCM800 modded tone is great. Then you have a super modded JCM 800 third channel that gets nu metal types of distortions and then top it all of with an ok clean channel. Not that I would ever use the clean channel but it is nice to have.
Any guitar will work with this amp but my personal preference is a Gibson Les Paul. I need something with a humbucker install pickup and there just is something with a good Les Paul and a Marshall amp that is magical.
OVERALL OPINION
I believe these amps have been discontinued for some time now. They are pretty inexpensive and should be had well under $400. I would recommend this to someone who loves the Marshall British tones and needs a good practice amp with three channels. Two of which are dedicated hot-rodded Marshall tones. This is a great amp for the home or office and excellent for silent playing.See less00 - Giles_le_lionPublished on 04/20/10 at 03:02 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Amp hybrid preamplification lamp (one 12AX7)
