Biggest Ever Audio Mixing Contest is ON!
This unit originally listed for $300 so to get it for almost 90% off is to extreme a value to pass up. I have no idea why this line did not catch on but good for my budget and setup. I see this unit to be well constructed and versitle, something any musician can appriciate. The overall sound that it produces is very high quality as well. I a...
Love it!
But overall, you will love the new things you can do with this MPC over how the older ones used to be. I you are still using a previous model MPC; I do not think it is worth the upgrade to the Renaissance. Just stick with what you have and what you know. But if you are new to the MPC and getting your first one, then this will be a great start to...
It's good for someone starting out, not sure full fledged productions could be made on this thing. Overall I would still try it out at a Guitar Center to see if you like it.
Overall it's a solid machine for someone who wants to step up from say the MPC 500 or 1000, but can't afford a 5000 or 4000. The price is reaosnable nowadays, you might find one on craigslist for anywhere between 300-600. I am glad I used this MPC because I churned out some great ideas with it.
The Akai Professional MPC Studio is powered by your computer via USB. It has a 64 track sequencer and no MIDI on the actual unit. So if you already have a good interface that has MIDI then this MPC would be just as good for you as the Renaissance would, and it cost about 60 percent cheaper too!
The Renaissance is like taking all of the previous MPC products and putting them into one unit and adding better computer and VST support that he other MPC’s just didn’t have in the past. It has a 64 track sequencer and a few thousand stock presets. The MIDI is 2 in and 4 out, with 2 XLR in and 1 RCS stereo. The MPC Renaissance is not easy to u...
My overall opinion is that the MPC 4000 is the best of all the MPC's. It is stable, easy to use, and provides the most features of any MPC besides the 5000. I have tried multiple MPC's but this one was my favorite for these reasons. I have let go of my MPC 4000 and bought a Maschine, but there are lots of days I wish I had never made that mov...
I love the MPC 1000, I plan on getting the newest version of the mpc really soon. You can even trade in our old mpc to upgrade at the music store and the great thing is that the mpc 1000 doesn’t lose its value like a lot of other gear does. Most producers and beat makers still want to have the mpc no matter how old they are. it’s a really good i...
Overall, I don’t see anyone wanting to downgrade from another model to this one. So if you are a new MPC user don’t get this, just save up the few extra dollars and get a used 1000 if you have too. The only thing that I really do like about the MPC 500 is that its very compact and you can take it anywhere and I think it runs off of batteries too...
