reFX Vanguard : AlanForPresident's user review
"worth the money"
The reFX Vanguard was a virtual synth that I have been hearing a lot of people talk about and say it was great. So I decided to get it, I am glad that I did. I think it could still use some tweaks and the developers could have created some better presets. But with all of the options you can definitely tweak anything the way that you want it to sound without a problem. ReFX Vanguard is pretty easy to understand, I am not a big fan of the silver and lime great colors though, I am not too sure if there is a different dashboard/ color scheme for it . But if there is I would love to have some, I hate the lime green color its dull and doesn’t pop out to me.
Installing it was easy as cake, no issues or problems and works great every time you open it up. Some of the arps that are in reFX Vanguard are really good, especially if you start to play around with them and some effects you will be surprise by what it can really do. Don’t just settle on the presets for the reFX Vanguard. Get your hands dirty and start using some of the knobs. If you have no idea what they are or what they do because you are a beginner just start moving some of them and listen to how it changes the sound. You can get any sound that you want pretty easy.
One of the best things about Vanguard is the interface (outside of the color). You have everything right in front of you. Anything that Vanguard has to offer is on the main interface every time you load it up. You can even save the sounds that you have created yourself (which you can do on almost any plug in now). Vanguard is worth the money spent.
